  1. Lovely 4x2 in LAKELANDS, really nice quiet part. Large grassed back garden with covered alfresco area. Master bedroom has a large modern ensuite with corner spa bath. Theater room or study, built in robes in all rooms. Air con and gas bayonets. Carpets in all bedrooms and living room. Pets allowed. Call Kat or Sam
  2. Well if I did take them, I wonder how they will hold up in the container? Might it not be too hot in there? Perhaps rendering them"off" or reducing their effectiveness? I remember when we moved to Oz when I was younger and our tv and candles etc had melted...
  3. Hi all, Starting the long arduous process of packing and realised we have quite a few full bottles of Calpol and similar things.. Will bring one bottle in the packed luggage of course but can the rest be brought in the container? What has everybody else done? Seems a waste to get rid of it.. suppose it could be donated to friends...
  4. Thanks everybody. Obviously our friends were talking out of their a***s when recommending these places. We are currently living in a ski resort in Austria so we do not want to go to another isolated seasonal tourism dependent town. Oh thinking of taking on a fencing franchise (Jims) any thoughts on that? Bunbury looks nice, we also thought ofMidlands or Darlington? we would like a nice big back yard, lots of parks, near other families, don't need to be near the city, and we don't mind driving to places, usually have to drive 30 min here just to do basic food shopping..
  5. Hi all, just had some Aussie friends recommend these places to us but what is it like there for families. we have two young boys. What can you do with kids(apart from beach etc) I mean like is there Gymboree classes, sports for kids, library story times??
  6. Because we were thinking of going to France for two weeks beginning of may, coming home to Austria for a week then leaving for oz. so that could complicate things with getting the health check,de worming thing. Perhaps we could send her over to the uk when we leave France and get your premium service where you guys do all that??
  7. Thanks Bob, If we did fly her out to the uk ,first can you arrange the flight from Germany to the uk or would we get German Pet air to do that?
  8. Hi there, I just noticed that my vet( we are in Austria and they don't deal much with this) did the rabies vaccination and the blood test on the same day and then put down the date of the test on the results page. AS in she had vaccinations for rabies done on03/10/11 and 31/8/12 and 2/7/13 and then he has written results seen on the 2/7/13 is this going to be a problem? should we go back and change it? we want to fly out end of May, hoping to book flights next week and then book the pet shipping with a German Pet Air. Any input appreciated..
  9. To moving to Tasmania: yes it was from the embassy in Austria ( unfortunately) we were very surprised as we had seen people's stats on here and thought it must be really quick applying from Austria since not many people do it from here. But then we had a email for our CO telling us to stop emailing and that the processing time was 9-12 months and not to contact her until February 2014( this was in November 2013) so we were just about to email her today and there it was, the LONG awaited email. NOw the planning starts..
  10. From the CO it had her name on it and said those magic words in the title "Visa granted"
  11. My partner just got his 309/100 granted however we applied from Austria. Sent everything in end of September, did medicals in November. Visa 100 granted last Friday!! We were going to email the CO today to see what was going on and there it was. So stoked Perth here we come..
  12. My OH has lived in Austria for 11 years and has UK passport but only needed police clearance from Austria.
  13. Hi! Has anybody brought a box trailer with them? We are getting a container and was just going to stick it in that. It's only used for storage and wouldn't be on the road? Is it going to be a hassle or worth it?
  14. Thanks, Snifter and Mobo, did you send the citizenship by descent/passport stuff through australia or can you do that in England? As in when we first sent my 119 (evidence of citizenship ) of we sent it to Vienna(Austria) then they kept it for a few weeks and sent everything back saying things had changed and it needed to go to Canberra, so off it went again. Now I have seen on the Diac website that that office has moved again and it all goes to Parramatta now. it went to Canberra in the beginning of the month and the money was just taken out on the 26th, I have emailed the OCE and got back a reply that they are swamped and processsing times have significantly been delayed(instead of 7-10 days) We are just getting worried that it will be a similar story with getting the kids citizenship/passports done. Processing time for that is 2-3 weeks too right? But who knows how long with delays???
