  1. Hi guys. I had received my visa a while ago. Planning to move in November finally. Was just thinking if there is a definite period within which you have to make your first entry to activate your visa.. Hoping not so..
  2. Hi, I was granted my visa yesterday. So I am thinking how to approach the next thing now.! I am an architect by profession.! Do you think your company will have openings for similar job roles as mine? I am confused as of date to either land up in Aus and then carry out my job search or to start applying to prospective employers from my country and travel as something sounds positive. Could you advise please.! In case I land up before I get a full time job offer, I would certainly need a part time job to support myself there. Is it hard to find part time jobs (small scale work).
  3. Sure.! Why not.! It seems to me that they have been quite upto work in the new year of visa grants.. Good luck for your journey.!
  4. Hey all, Can't say its a golden email but yeah I received the one grand email today morning. Mine was a direct grant. I had always read and seen people feeling relieved and happy as their grants came through. Today I know the feeling.! It just puts you to the seventh cloud. Worth the wait guys..! Good luck everyone..! I propose that we should be in touch even after getting the grants..!
  5. Hi Captain C, I can see that you have been contacted by CO. Congrats on the movement in process of visa grant..!
  6. Was reading through experiences of other people on the spreadsheet. I must say it is quiet an efficient way of keeping a track on the progress on everyone's application. Someone mentioned verification from employers. Do they verify from employers for whom we have not claimed points too? One of the company where I worked no longer exists, so I did not claim points for my experience there to keep myself safe. Hoping it should be ok. Do they call current employers as well.? It will become a 'News' in my office if they do..
  7. Thanks peterxyz and Captain C. I can see the message..! The spreadsheet shows some grants for early June applicants. We are in line too..! Hoping to hear something soon!
  8. Hi everyone.! I am new to this thread but share the same anxiety as everyone else. Lodged on June 15th (without MA) and waiting...... Hope everything is fine on the other end. I have a doubt though: I got my meds done on June27th but the progress tab on immiaccount still says recommended. I called the panel docs to check and they said that they had uploaded all the results long back. Dont know if the immigration website doesn't update about health examinations. I had uploaded PCC after that which have been received as per the progress tab there. Wonder what's going on.
  9. Hi All, I have lodged my application on 15th June and have undergone the medical examination on 27th June. Although my medical panel says that they have uploaded my health results, it still doesn't show up on my immiaccount. Health evidence still says recommended. Does immigration website takes longer than usual to update our status.
  10. Hi All, I have been invited to apply for visa 189. I am in course of preparing my documents for the same. I have a small confusion regarding which documents should be certified and which ones are to be scanned as coloured copies (which do not need certification). Following are the evidences that I have to attach for: 1. IELTS test result form 2. Identity (Passport) 3. Education Assessment (ACS) 4. Age (Passport) 5. Qualifications (Degree and marksheets) 6. Employment references (Experience letters, payslips, Bank Statements, ITR) Can you please help me with the right information. Thanks in advance. !
  11. Hi everyone..! I am all set to apply for the visa now. All documents in place. I have a very basic question. The australian immigration website says that you have to upload the attested copies of the documents on skillselect. My thought on this is that if we have to scan the document to be able to upload why should we not scan the original and upload? Why get it photocopied and attested and then scanned and uploaded. Please share your views on the right way of doing the application and uploading the documents. I am sure there are several people here who have already got their grants, so I for me this is the best place to get hands on answer. Thanks in advance.
  12. Hi everyone, I am preparing to lodge visa 189 but I am still short of 6 months of experience to claim points against Professional work experience. At the same time, I am trying to switch my job now. I have been offered a contract temporary job for the same role. The contract will be for 2 months (you may understand it as a project based job). Although the job is contract based, but I will have to work for 40hours per week and will be paid as well. All I want to know is that if I take up this offer, will I be able to claim points for these 2 months of job role? If yes, then what will I need as the supporting documents of proof. If not, then I am willing to decline the offer and find a permanent job role rather. Your views will be appreciated. Thanks
  13. Indeed it is alarming and unreasonable besides their rude behaviour. Inefficient systems of applications, mode of payments, services to enquiries, mode of delivering the results etc. They are one of those organizations who charge a lot of money for the skills assessment when compared to other organizations that offer the same services for overseas applicants. They should have asked me beforehand for an extra $ 30.00 for the post, I would have happily sent them the money along with my application. This is an unfair waste of time for me. I am so annoyed.
  14. Seems like you had a better organization to deal with. Mine is too rude to even answer about any tracking reference or details of the post as well. Anyways, I guess there is no other way than to pay them again and get the assessment. Its already too late for me..
  15. Hey guys, I am in progress of preparation of the documents required for the application of 189 visa. An architect by profession, I had sent my application for education assessment to AACA ( institution responsible for assessing the architectural qualifications) on 7th June. After 15 weeks of long waiting time, I contacted them to seek information regarding the progress of my application. They informed me that my decisions were finalized on 6th August and had been posted to me by an ordinary mail to my address. Unfortunately, I have not received any mails since then. It has been more than one and a half months now. When I contacted them again to issue me another copy at an alternate address or give me reference / tracking number of the mail services, they put their hands down. AACA want me to pay more ''fees'' as they call it to issue me a copy again. I feel so drowned, I do not want to pay extra money when I don't even know if the outcomes were in my favour. They deny to reveal my outcomes also. The payment mode does not have an option of paying online or through wire transfer. It has to be a cheque that will be posted to them at their address in Australia. I fail to understand which world and era are we living in. Its an added cost now for no fault of mine. Feeling very upset about the whole process. No one seems to be co-operative. There is no information regarding my outcomes or reference number of the mail services. Today I received an extremely rude email saying that AACA will not hold any responsibility for the non receipt of the post and no further responses will be given to me on this matter from now on. How the hell on earth is someone entitled for such a behaviour. I am annoyed. Any suggestions or advices?
