Thank you so much for your responses getting advice isn't the easiest thing! The reason we haven't applied for the defacto visa is that the sponsor must demonstrate that they usually reside in Australia. Being early 20s we have no houses or flats there and although I've recently been in the country 2.5 years I have been back in England for over a year now (albeit with full intent to return to Aus with Molly). So I can't demonstrate I usually reside in Australia. The reason why we want to get married in Australia is simply because Australia is where we want to spend the rest of our lives. My father currently lives in Sydney so accommodation wouldn't be a problem to arrange. I'm sure that once in the country finding a job again wouldn't be too much of a problem after getting in touch with old colleagues etc. Do you think this would work? Do I need to get to Sydney and set up accomodation of my own and a job before we send the application off?
Thanks again,
ryan&molly
