We are coming close to our 143/173 update. After nearly 2 years we are required to apply for permanent residency, this 2nd part if very expensive. Has anyone changed their visa request so that it is cheaper than this one. When we applied for the 143/173 we were still working, it took so long to get we are now retired. Hope this makes sense. thanks people x

Can anyone confirm, once a 173 parent contributory visa, has been approved, how long you have before you must be in Australia, from the approval. Thanks Lucy
