  1. The occupation project manager/administrstor is shown on the list for a 457, i never said it wasnt? i was asking if AAT was on the list as speaking with AAT university my qualification is equivalent to 1st year degree this is why I am asking about accountancy, as someone else posted that they had seen AAT on the list this is why I was asking her where she saw it. I have the necessary points for the 457 visa I've already been told this but would rather go for a permanent residency visa due to my age. There really is no need to be so rude I thought the idea of this forum was to help each other ? I am taking note of what everyone is saying I think you have your wires cross.
  2. Just to clarify I have the necessary points to qualify under project manager for the 457 Visa, but would prefer to go for the permanent residency, the project manager skills is not on the visa needed for this, which was why I was asking if my AAT qualification would be recognised with Australian Accountancy CPA :-)
  3. Does anyone know if the Australian accounting body recognise that UK AAT Qualification (Association of Accounting Technicians) and if so will they assess this qualification with the CPA ? Thank you !
  4. Hi Rupert i have asked my agent repeatedly but they are not replying. The occupation that my agent told me to use project administrator is not on the skills list, but I do work in the accounting industry but not have full act qualifications only AAT level. just worried if I do get accepted under the 487 visa work for two years and then can't get permanent residency due to insufficient points due to my age. Would much prefer the permanent route straight away. But my AAT qualification doesn't appear to be accepted with CPA Australia but is with ACA
  5. Hi Rupert, Thanks for your response, i was informed by the agent that would not qualify for the permanent visa ? I am applying under the role of Project Manager/Administrator. I hold a diploma in accounting but unfortunately my skills dont appear to be enough for permanent residency? so ive been lead to believe. Bullet points below of my working background please correct me if im wrong. Thank you !! 6. If I am luckly to be able to mirgrate on a 457 visa and my employer offer me a permanant position (all if's) I am concerned that because of my age I will not qualify to get a permanant visa accepted. I am currently 43 will need to work for at least 2 years before apply for residency so would then me at least 45 which is the age you get zero points. As I correct with this ? or because you are already in australia and working do you get extra points awarded. Any help would be welcome, I am confused on what visa I should be applying for. I did pay for an agents advise they came back with visa 457, 186 or 187 explained how they worked but I have asked them the above question and they are not answering me back. Thanks to anyone you can help !
