Looking for job from 8 months no luck and no indication of job market improvement upcoming budget will put one more nail in coffin. Fingers crossed only doing odd jobs which are also very rare to find. I think Sydney is currently the worst in Australia for job seekers. However other members from different state May comment on this. I hope everyone gets a good deserving job but for new enterents things are getting bad.

Among all jobs published by recruiters around 50% are factitious. A job with one employer is published by on average 5 recruiters or more with a slight changes in wordings. some 15%-20% of the jobs are published without a real job in the market to collect applicants data and to get information about employers offering jobs. Ever wonder why recruiters ask you which places have you had interviews and where have you been applying and who was the person in that company. So look especially for a job description with a word no agency please which mean there is only one advertisement for this job and only place your CV will end up for short listing.

Not to discourage you but I have around 4 years UK experience with Bachelors and Masters from UK, Still hunting for job but everyone has different luck

Console Operator is a petrol pump job and try to visit 7 Elevens mostly owned by Pakistanis and ask them to hire you on training. They don't pay you anything during training which can end as soon as 2 weeks or more. after that you can get a job either in same pump or other pumps the pay is also $10 to $13 ph. Its exploitation but due current job situation its still an option till you find a job in your own field. Over all things are very tough here as long as you don't have a good job which is become very difficult to get especially in IT as lot of companies are cutting jobs and there are thousands of applications for each job opening. Lifestyle is very expensive rent is extremely high owning and paying off a house even with good job is a dream. But since lot of people making irreversible decision and moving here to avoid bad situation in Pakistan will be having a very tough ride. However positive thing is you can live here with peace of mind by making sacrifices on financial side.

Before updating my move many congrats to all who got grants especially 047 as member of super seven. since arriving Sydney in August I am still looking for job without luck had couple of interviews but nothing progress further. i began searching for odd jobs and starting console operator training from tomorrow. i personally think security job is a good option but job situation is not good even for odd jobs as you need to know someone who can refer you for a job. rest is all good I am fortunate to live with my brother that why wait long for job applications. Please share your story...

First of all congrats to all received grants or meds call. I can share my experience. My visa is granted but my document check list is still showing all documents as received from the day 1 I think its up to CO to update the list or leave it as it is .

lol you are lucky that you are not from Karachi there the total cost is Rs 7000 per cert from which SSP takes 1500 per cert for signature rest is divided on other levels.

I dont think SC is near end because I had to provide similar info in Aug 2012 and my SC finished in May 2013. I think ASIO requesting further info for SC and it might be middle of SC, at least it was in my case.

They asked me similar details all i did was provided with the details in writing I neither provide any documents nor they asked for any documents. Just describe what they asked in plain English and it will be inshallah fine.
