  1. Thank you for the clarifications. In the letter I received, it was mentioned that they have begun considering my application for a Visa grant and the only item pending in the Checklist is the Police clearance-National. Hoping for the best
  2. Hi, After exactly one year from lodging my application with the full set of scanned documents, I received an email form my case officer with a "Request checklist" asking for a new Overseas Police Clearance. I understand that they want to check whether any criminal record has occurred since my last submitted Police clearance. Could this mean, by any chance, that my application is reaching its final stage? Appreciating your advice. Yogui
  3. Hi, I submitted EOI (visa 189) claiming 70 points for which I have full supporting documents including evidences that I have over 8 yrs of relevant work experience. However, in the points test advisory letter, only 6 years of employment were assessed as relevant to the nominated occupation since I chose not to pay for a 10 yrs assessment (stupid decision). How would DIAC look into this? Do they heavily rely on the PTA letter even if I have evidence of the entire 8 yrs of work experience? Would appreciate your insight in this, YB
  4. Thank you guys. Appreciated
  5. Thank you Lady for the reply, It is always nice and healthy to read such success stories. I guess the key is to get familiar with detailed local laws and rules and to be a risk taker
  6. Hey Rupert, thx for the reply. Well sure I am planning to go to Australia, I am applying for 189 subclass visa. My question is how hard would it be for someone with a strong cv to find a job without having to start from scratch (i.e. junior level)
  7. Hi, I would like to know, out of your experience(s), if you think it would be wise for someone in my position to take the immigration step or not. I got a high IELTS score and a positive assessment from Vetasses and my occupation is listed on the SOL. and I have the required internationally recognized certification related to my field of work. I am currently a group internal audit manager in a multinational company with 9 years of audit experience in international audit firms and I have gained throughout my employment period a wide exposure in over 20 countries in the middle east region, north africa and eastern europe. I am aware that I will have to take a step backward in case I had the privilege to go to Australia. However, I am not sure whether the whole decision is a wise one or not. Please advise, YB
  8. Dear russel, with all my respect to you, I think you dont get the point. External audit and internal audit are closely related, however, each is subject to a separate assessing authority. The issue is that I do not know whether I should have my current skills assessed or both, and if both, I am not sure if I have to apply to both assessing authorities. It has nothing to do with playing with fire. I am still in the beginning of the process, hoping to get the answers I need.
  9. I have the same issue here, I applied through Vetassess since I currently work in the internal audit domain, although I have more work experience in external auditing. I hope it could work this way and that I won't have to submit another application to ICAA.
  10. Hi, I have worked as an external auditor for 5 years and as an internal auditor for 2 years in Big 4 audit firms. Currently I am a certified internal auditor and I work as an Internal audit manager. Where should I have my employment/degrees assessed? Vetassess or CPA australia? I hope I won't have to apply in both. Please advice,
