  1. Thank you all for the feedback, it has made me feel so much better you would not believe. Had the worst week in Australia in 6 years (party at the weekend next door with kids shitting by the back gate, um, nice. Any dog I know doesn't wipe it's arse) and now this. Hubby hardly knows him but asked him where is good places to go and see and because he is from Singapore he thinks he knows everything! Hubby said we are happy with the hotel as we spent a few hours looking into their stopover hotels and we chose this as my daughter wants to go shopping in this area. Got no joy on the phone so took to Facebook yesterday and got a reply in 10 mins. They are going to do an investigation to their credit. The worst thing is that while we are waiting for a refund, we had to repay the hotel, we now have not had enough money in the account to pay the rent this week as the refund is in limbo! I used to work for the government and had to get names, NI numbers, DOB etc. but that has been overlooked here. Hubby who works in a boys school wont speak to him as he doesn't want to get into an argument and risk his job back in the UK. Can't wait to get back to the UK
  2. Hi all, Strange couple of day's.... We booked our flights back to the UK a couple of months ago with a nice stopover in Singapore for 4 nights. On Wednesday, a colleague of my husband (who has just moved to Perth from Singapore) decided that the hotel that we booked was not good enough and phoned up Singapore Airlines and had it cancelled!! He did not have our flight reference, he was not named on the tickets and had no authority to do this as he was not the named card holder. He even managed to get sent to him an email from them with our bank details on with refund information even though we have not had any money back yet. Not once did they try to call/email us with the changes even though they have all this information (I suspect he knows someone at Singapore Airlines but don't know for sure). We have flown many times with Singapore Airlines and had to verify all the time our names, date of birth etc. before we are even spoken to so HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN???? My husband has had to spend hours on the phone to be told that 1) the hotel is now fully booked, but that has now changed thanks to him complaining and 2) how did they give all this information out to a 3rd party? They even had the name of the 3rd party on the information on our flight notes. We have had to pay for the hotel again so at this point out of pocket $1000 for 4 nights stopover. Singapore Airlines say they have done nothing wrong and that we can call them 24 hours of the day but when we do they tell us to email them, the response is they will get back to us within 10-30 days!!:arghh:Sorry people, rant over

We are moving back to the UK in July and have a number of items for sale from cut glass glasses, dining table and chairs, book cases, leather recliner sofa's, side tables, coffee table, cast iron pots, rugs, small flat screen TV's, bedroom furniture, bikes, kitchen pots and pans.
