1.

Hi Kay. Hope all went well with your travels  What are your first impressions? Been to the beach yet?

 2. Thank you everyone for your help  much appreciated.....
 3. Hi there. My better half and I, oh yes, and the kids too, will be moving to Sydney in a month. Presently we are frantically looking for where to stay, areas to avoid, what we can afford, etc... Think we both agreed a few nights ago that emigration is not for the feint hearted. Anyway, just wondered if anyone could give any advise around what the best place would be to hire a car from - guessing we would need one for a few weeks until we can buy an old banger somewhere. Thinking we would probably also need to choose a place that offers pickup from the airport.. Can anyone suggest a reasonable place that offers rentals at a reasonable price please? Thank you, Keith

No worries at all  We felt the same way when we were doing our research and now that hubby has seen it, he's convinced it's the right place for us.

Good luck with everything!

 6.

Thank you so much for your reply. Still trying to decide exactly where to live but there is something about Jordan Springs that appeals to me and now that I know its easy to commute into the CBD, may just tip the balance. Also looks like much better value <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Wow, Sydney aint cheap..... Thank you once again and best of luck.

Hi Keith,

No worries at all. Hubby will be commuting to CBD by train. He informs me that Penrith Train Station is about 10 mins drive from Jordan Springs and the train will take 40-45 mins. He made the journey one day in order to get an idea of journey times etc

Hope that helps a little.

 8.

Hi KayDee. Apologies for contacting you out of the blue like this but noticed in a post that you are moving to Jordan springs and your hubby works in the CBD - will he be driving in each day and if so do you know how long its taking him please? Do you know if there are an public transport links from Jordan Springs into the city? Many thanks in advance. Cheers, Keith
