  1. that isnt going to e easy as i have deliberatly not written anywhere or told anyone who he is as he was violent and was going to be towards my kids. It shoudnt be an issue, i havent seen him in nearly 10 years with my eldest and my youngest was through a sperm bank (i wanted another 1 and didnt want to be in a relationship, im sure some will disgree with my choices but id rather be honest). I have no qualifications (thats why i was sooo shocked when it came back that i passed the points calculator). I have applied for a few jobs today just to test the water so to speak. From what i can understand after looking very breifly i would need to look at a sponcered visa by an employer to start with whilst I could start thinking about studying a couple of years after moving.

    health insurance

Is it expensive and do you need it please? I lived in France where you definatly neede it if you didnt have a social security number. i know health care can be cheaper. Is it worth it please (im 31 with mild asthma, my 2 kids have some issues, 1 is being disgnosed aith a version of autisum, the other needs physio on his hands (hes starting in the UK before we move). Other than the list we are healthy lol susi
  3. thats great to know about asthma as i have it very mildly. I moved back from france to the UK and with the pollution and general crap thats here ive found its gotten worse. Im really hopeing that australia will be good for all of us. Im 85% decided that as long as i can afford to live there i want to go. As horrible as it sounds i have to put my kids before my mum. I can only hope she'll come out after me to live. thank you for the asthma info and Perth  susi
  4. I have gone through 1 of the agency visa applications and according to that I apply to go anyway!! I was really shocked at that. So i actually thought id look for a job then study part time to teach whilst there (after were settled etc, i dont expect to finance everything on the budget I have for my family). I just need to be sure that my kids will be OK getting visas, my eldest is being tested for ASD and my youngest for a tendon issue (the reason for australia is my youngests tendons issues as they think after pysio the issue may go totally with the right climate. Lots of research is about to be done fast thank you
  5. I must have read an old document explaining. Well, at least I know now its just the 3 cats that I can take. My brother wants my parrot anyway so im not worried, i was worried she wouldnt stand up to the flight anyway. thank you for clearning it up for me :arghh:
  6. think my typing wasnt great as i was fighting my 2 year old as he was supposed to be in bed lol Anyway, i had a quick google, its wester australia that its illegal for birds to be flown into, from what ive read quickly the rest of the country is OK. Its just going to finding out if the flight would kill her as id rather leave her with my brother who wants her anyway.
  7. I have 3 cats and 1 green common amazon im thinking of taking out with me. The parrot im certainly unsure about if she could take the flight safly. Has anyone flewn with a bird before? Ive sent of requests for prices on flighing the cats, if anyone has any ideas how much it costs for an average weight cat please, mine arent too fat  thank you again susi (sorry for sooo many questions, i need to make sure ive done my research properly before comitting to the 'big move')
  8. hi im starting the process of seriously looking into moving with my 2 kids and our 3 cats from the UK to Australia. 2 are passported fully (well from France back to the UK), I just have the final 1 to get passported ready (not had her long!) Are the regs different for moving cats to Australia than to the UK please? I have cat carriers that are approved by the euro tunnel, DEFRA dont give any guidelines for cat carry boxes. Can anyone recomend where to get quotres from that are quiet and gentle with the cats please (2 of my cats are rescues that were beaten so nervous around new people). Cheers Susi xx
  9. i did think of southern france, but my french isnt good enough to live there. Thats 1 of the reasons i moved back to the UK. That and they dont do special needs really in france. My eldest son is starting down the route of being diagnosed with aspergers, in france i got told it was simply bad parenting and the fact im a single parent and i needed a man in my life to sort me out so i could then sort my son out :nah:. I need an English speaking country really to enable me to work to support my kids properly. In France i had my own business, this was great until the ecconomy changed and the business struggled then stopped (like soooo many others in france). I am entitled to sighn on in France but thats against everything i stand for (and want to teach my kids). I want to earn what I have. We are a close family. I think if I do go to Australia then I think maybe just maybe she'd try and get a visa to come after I go and stay for more than 6 months. But thats a big if, if she dosent i know id feel guilty for ever more after. its almost my 2 year or my mother in my eyes right now.
  10. my boys father ran a mile when we had the word special neesd mentioned. Hes never even seen my youngest! I was living abroad when i had both my kids, so moving anywhere isnt an issue. thankfully that isnt an issue
  11. My 2 year old son has some minor issues with his tendons (mainly in his hands and wrists), He will finish treatments here in the UK before we would consider moving, but I have been told that a warmer climate would be better for him to stay healthy with his tendons and allow them to not return to there present state. Anyway, I have looked through the enitial visa and passed (i was really shocked!!) i understand that this is a baby step on the journey. My issue is the 1 that im sure a lot of people have, my mum, shes terrified of flying and i know i wont be able to afford to get back to the UK for at least 10 years (im being realistic), and seeing the state my mums in medically I very much doubt she'll still be with us. So its my 2 year old's tendons or my mum basicly. I know its a personal choice etc, and i know how good skype etc are ( i have lived in france before and loved living abroad). I know i have to put my 2 year old 1st totally. I thought id have to train to teach (i want to do this anyway), i had planned to train then move, but after being told that i may be able to find a job then work on a teaching qualification whilst in Australia. Is that at all realistic? Im a single parent with 2 boys. My boys arent into designer and gadgets (basicly i wont buy them!) so arent as expensive as 'normal' kids. I know how to live to a tight budget and i dont smoke or drink or socialize etc. I just plan to study and get a career then i can start my life when im settled. sorry if ive waffled on to much. Its just ive had my world turned upside down and need to make big choices ish quickly. I have toyed with moving to australia on and of for years but the natural disasters that happened changed my mind, now im doubting everything i seriously thinking about it sorry for waffling again susi
  12. OK, thats great to know to look at Perth & North Queensland. Ive just done a points assesment to see if i could get anywhere near the amount needed prior to teacher training. i was shocked i qualified!! I wouldnt even consider going without a job though, its just crazy without a shed load of money in this ecconomy (especially with kids involved). Thank you sooo much for the areas to look at. Its a huge decission to make as its a move their and not come back again, and I know id unlkiley see my mother again as she wont fly. Its a really hard decission to make. Thank you again though. If no one minds I will ask possibly 10 tons of q's over the next few weeks whilst I decide whats right for my boys & myself. Thank you again Susi
  13. My 2 year old son is in the process of getting my youngest son diagnosed with a condition that effects his tendons. Its not life thretening or shortening etc, the doc I spoke to said he would benifit from a warmer climate. Im starting to train as a teacher this year (im not even thinking of moving until im qualified though). Where would be te best area for me to look it with warm weather most of the year be in australia please? Im lucky ive never been bothered where I live (i have lived in france for nearly 10 years and found it very different to the UK but great fun as well. I only moved back to the UK as the French docs wouldnt agree that my sons had anything wrong with them (my 9 year old is in the process of being diagnosed with ASD, something that I feel a warmer climae would greatly help him as he could be outside playing and burning of his energy (hes not repressed like autistic children, hes 'normal' just gets angry when hes got to much energy, so an outside life style would be fantastic for him. We are a sporty family and love camping etc Am I thinking the right way, im a single mum so only have my salary etc to live from. I want to do 1 more 'big' move then settle. Im 31 and have moved all my life with my family as they were builders. Sorry if ive waffled on a bit  susi xx
