  1. I haven't checked this thread for quite some time now. I hope you all get your grants soon. God bless.
  2. you can just scan it and send it to the case officer. that's what my agent did. good luck.
  3. I think it's not because of their capacity per se. It's more of like the demand for it. It was the trend last year. It started with 2000+ quota per month and then decreased to less than that. And if you look at the trend last year, fewer people applied as the occupation ceilings are reached. But it will definitely reduce the processing time. I remember there was a time that there are those who were granted visas within a month.
  4. good luck to all of yous waiting for the grant.
  5. just a few examples: 189 visa granted 2013 = you have up to 2018 to travel in and out of Australia without the need for RRV. 2018 = if you're staying in Australia and not plan on going outside the country, then you don't need to do anything. Your 189 is still valid. But if you need to go outside Australia, then you need the RRV. Depending on the length of your stay (and absences) during the 2013-2018 period, RRV is granted for 3 month (?) to 5 years. If you meet the maximum residency requirement, then it's 5 years.
  6. Any DIAC office? Like in my case, my 189 was approved by the GSM Adelaide, can I submit it to their Sydney or Parramatta office?
  7. this may be a bit off-topic, and I didn't want to create a new thread just for a simple query, but if I want a visa label (also called visa evidencing), do I just have to mail my passport and other requirements to ANY DIAC office? I know it's not needed but it's just easy for me to have it in place because Philippine immigration (port of entry/airports) can be a pain (probably just like any other immigration). Thanks.
  8. I can only imagine the agony of waiting of those who's actually past the 8-10 weeks CO allocation and/or grant. I don't know how CO allocation works, but I was assigned on a CO in Adelaide Team 7 and I don't know what could have happened if they assigned me to team 8. Hope y'all get your grants soon.
  9. you probably have to wait til at least you have your NSW sponsorship and have submitted your EOI for the actual subclass 190. Alternatively, you can wait til the CO asks for it.
  10. Congratulations to those who were granted the PR. And best of luck to those who are waiting...we'll all get where we want to be.
  11. NSW requires at least 6.0 on all subtest of IELTS. If you have that plus all other requirements, then you are eligible for NSW State Sponsorship. If successful, they will add 5 points for your EOI so you'll get the required 60 points for subclass 190.
  12. PN is Position Number. Sorta like an employee number of the CO so they can be identified, too, through that number.
  13. just based on my case, I don't think it's a mandatory document. I did not submit any bank statements. Although we see some CO requesting for it or a tax declaration/statement. In my case, I submitted an employment certificate with a date way before my claim of 1-year Australian experience. I supported it with recent payslips. CO never contacted my agent to request for anything at all.
  14. i reckon we'll see more changes on the 457 visa program than the SkillSelect program. If there will be some changes to the skilled migration, I think it would be on the occupation list, which is very exhaustive, compared to Canada's list which has less than 20 occupations. But then again, I guess the labour market is different here. Hope I see more grants for yous this week.
