Hi Guys, Wasn't sure where to put this. I moved to Australia 3 years ago from Newcastle Upon Tyne and found a Melbourne Cricket club that I love. We are currently looking for new players (pre season starts 03/08). Footscray United are a really approachable and friendly club and are looking for new players. Yes you will get all of the 'poms vs aussies' ashes talk and get ribbed for pretty much anything and everything but it truely is a great place to play. We have 3 teams and play competitively but do enjoy a beer afterwards. Our first XI won the premiership last year. and what happens when you go over? do i just go througj passport control as normal? i know with canada they interview you and things

hi i have been granted my visa and when i look there are no specific conditions. it was a skilled sponsored 176 visa and i thought it meant i had to stay in wa. but when i look there is nothing mentioning this on the visa? any help? can i go anywhere with this? also i wantedto check what happens when i arrive do i have to have a meeting with anyone? or is my passport just stamped and im allowed to go and get on with my day?

<p><p>ps i would sort out a tax file numer the day you get there so you can work straight away. and you can set up a bank account with nab from the uk i did mine monday and got the account today. also get an aussie driving license asap helps with credit checks and stuff.</p></p>

im looking to move to scarborough i think i jist want to be close to the city i dont really have a plan ha! im going to start applying for jobs as of now thought. i heard bunbury is nice i have a mate who lives there. i just cant wait let the adventure begin!

im moving 6th april. my advice is apply for tfn tax file number asap! also nab you can open a bank account from the uk its quicker! if anyones looking to share a rental i would be interested!

hi well my flight is booked im moving to perth area on te 6th april and i arrive on the 7th. anyone else moving around this time? i think it would be good to get to know a few people before hand. also if anyone is looking to share rentals or something like that it might be an idea

hi moving to wa soon. ive been advised to get an australian license. can i just trade in my british one for an aussie one? or is there a test to sit etc?

hi all just wanting to check, my partner and i have a 176 visa and need to activate before may. my partner is main applicabt but works away at the moment he was going to travel to brisbane to visit friends in march to 'activate' the visa. our state sponsorship is for wa so would he need to travel to wa as well in order to activate? or is it ok just to go to brisbane. i am then going to go to wa to set up in april due to work comittments with myself so i will be staying then while my partner returns to work in canada. just wanted to check that it is all above board
