  1. Hi Patel, I agreed with what Ozmaniac said. I was in the same situation 2 years ago. I was on visa 457 and applied RSMS through another employer. And I worked for my old employer until my PR was granted. I rang immigration department and they told me that once I leave my current employer, I need to apply bridging visa in order to stay in Australia. However, I won't be able to work on bridging visa. Hope this will help.
  2. My partner is struggling finding an IT Business Intelligence job in Adelaide. He has been looking for job through seek, newspaper, apply direct, and knock at the companies' door for the past 6 months. Unfortunately, he doesn't has any luck. Perhaps because he is not white? He has good qualifications and experiences in help desk and Business Intelligence. We are thinking whether we should move to Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane.
  3. ~I applied visa 187 and 457 last year (mid of October). ~Employer nomination approved in April 2014. ~Visa 457 approved in end of March 2014. ~Visa 187 approved in 15th April 2014. ~Teacher Registration Approved in mid of March 2014. ~It took 7 months to get my PR. ~Job Title: Early Childhood Teacher/ Pre-primary School Teacher
  4. Hi supreets2100, May I know, do you need to do skills assessment when applying for this visa. Thanks. Regards, Shih
  5. Hi blossom79, My job code is CSOL 241111 (Early Childhood). I have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba, Australia. Therefore, I am not sure whether I should start applying for skills assessments. The process when applying the skills assessment is very long.
  6. Hi, do you need to apply skills assessment before the visa granted?
  7. Thanks for your quick response! I hope I will get approval for skills assessment exemption. (The assessment takes too long.) Have a great day!
  8. Anyone know that if I apply visa 187 (direct entry stream), ANZSCO 241111 Early Childhood (Pre-primary Teacher), do I need to have skills assessment? (My qualification obtained in Australia.) Or can I get exemption?
  9. Hi Mark, Thanks for the information. As i still have 1.5 years contract with my employer, will the immigration cancel my visa due to my employer current's status. Because i planned to apply for visa 187 through visa 457 transition stream once I worked for the same employer for 2 years. It seems like there is no hope for that visa now. What I know was, my employer is having an issue regarding hiring someone whose visa is not valid. However, he is not aware that the other employee's visa is unlawful if she works for other employer. (She cease employment for a period of more than 28 consecutive days for her previous job.)
  10. i also not sure, she just send an email like this 'Good morning - I am the Case Officer for your 457 subsequent visa application and have begun processing it. Unfortunately, at this present time, I can not grant any visa's for your wife's sponsor. I request that you withdraw this application and re-apply in March 2013. Withdrawal can be done by replying to this email requesting that I 'withdraw' this application. Your wife may contact me on: 07 - for further clarification of this email.'
  11. Hi Lebourvellec, No. I was advised by the immigration officer not to do that.
  12. Hi Rupert, No, he can't get the working holiday visa. But the officer that deal with my case is very friendly and feel sorry for my case. She asked me to ring her when she found out that we have done everything, like health, qualifications and etc. She just ask me to withdraw my application and re-apply in March. But I don't know why she said that and it was stated in the email. My other concern is, if my employer cannot sponsor anyone at this stage, then, can i still apply for my visa 187 transition stream under visa 457 after 2 years working at the same company if he is still willing to hire me? Or should I change my employer?
  13. I am working at the child care centre as nominated supervisor, can I apply for TRA skill assessments? And which body I need to apply my skill assessments? And which job?
  14. I am currently working in Australia under visa 457 condition. And I would like to include my spouse as secondary applicant. My employer is willing to sponsor him. However, I was told by the immigration officer to withdraw my spouse's visa application and re-apply in March as my employer has an issue going on with other worker who is also sponsored under visa 457 at my work place. So, my question is, 'Is there any other option I can bring my spouse here? Or should I wait and re-apply in March?'
