  1. It sure is, once I'd made my decision it was like a weight had been lifted and I could finally start to enjoy the rest of my time here.
  2. Good luck Kerry! I'm going home myself in March (only 32 days!!!) and I can't wait.
  3. Exactly, I can pretty much tell where a person is from in Scotland, even England from hearing them speak. Multi-talented me
  4. Haha, I think you might be right which is a shame because there are some truly stunning people around!! I actually commented to my sister this morning that it seems like nobody brushes their hair anymore??
  5. I can't wait for proper rain again Can't wait for a proper, decent nights sleep too!! I'm pretty sure once I'm back in Scotland the weather will drive me mad after a while. Funnily enough, I vowed and declared when moving to Oz that I would never once complain about the heat....I've done nothing but the last few weeks! Lol.
  6. I've been asked loads if I'm Irish......eh no, I'm Scottish!! There's simply no mixing the 2 accents up I mean...come on
  7. Yeah why is that? Just doesn't make sense to me. Can't wait to get home so I can go out with the girls and get glammed up!!! 4 weeks and counting )
  8. Sapphire, I can sympathise as I've kind of felt the same since I arrived here (Nov 12). I have put up such a brave face, happy/smily etc that when I finally broke and admitted that I was miserable and wanted to go home people were so surprised! I actually made myself ill through all the pretense and am losing my hair I hope to god things get better when you get home (leave in March 13) otherwise I don't know what I'll do, I am in some serious funk at the moment.
  9. Thank you, much appreciated. I think I'll get someone to do it for me....not the greatest at all that stuff!
  10. I am returning to the UK in March and it had been mentioned to me in passing by a work colleague that I should be able to reclaim my tax early? Has anyone else done this? Any tips on how to go about it? Cheers :cute: L x
  11. I find this quite surprising too, in all the pubs we've been in since I arrived the only people who have ever came up to us and engaged in random banter have been British. Conversation usually starts with "thank god someone to talk to"
  12. Yep, this for definite....they're peppers!!!!
  13. Adding the 'O' to the end of things....that drives me nuts!!! Seriously, just speak like you're supposed to. It makes me laugh when I get told that being Scottish I "talk funny" :err:
