From reading othere posts, it is looking likely that medicals are taking up to 3 months to be processed and outcome given. I think after that if you get a positive outcome you are given an estimated arrival date in Oz which spans 12 months, i.e. if you get a positive result tomorrow 10 January 2013, you will have up to 10 January 2014 to enter oz and activate the VISA. xxx

For us we submitted our WA SS on 18 October and on the 5 November I was offered state sponsorship. Visa application lodged 11 December, CO contact 7 January, medicals and police check requested and arranged. Hope this helps. Claire. x

Hi there New to the forums so hope this is the correct place to post this thread. My family and I have our medicals booked for 25 Jan. Due to past medical history I am presuming that our medicals will be referred. I know from other threads that there is currently a backlog for results. So, here is my question: Are certain visa types and their medicals priority over others? as I have read that Visa 486 medical results are taking priority. Any advice or thoughts on this very much appreciated. Claire.
