  1. Thanks a lot! I am in a similar position as you were, I graduated from Law School, but after college I wanted to develop in the business field so I worked in the commercial department of 3 good companies for about 4 years. Now, I am moving to Sydney to study an MBA at MGSM and it has been great watching someone climbed the corporate ladder that studied something else not business related! Again, thanks a lot, hope my future is as good as yours!
  2. Hahahahaha, thanks for the incentives, Im sure a nice surfer girl will probably get me into water!! I am staying in Sydney for 17 months since march this year, I don't know what will happen after my MBA finishes, I guess if I get the oportunity to get a good job probably stay some extra time and if not come back to my country to work here...
  3. Hello Sobian, Very sorry for what happened... perhaps legal counsil will be the best for you (maybe you won't do anything but at least know your options). On the other hand, I just wanted to tell you how astonished / amused I am of reading your calm words and attitude towards him and this whole situation, you must be years ahead of the rest of us mortals, and I am sure everything in life will turn your way. The best of all my wishes and keep strong!
  4. Hey everyone, I am Francisco, 29 year old male going to Sydney on the last week of february to study an MBA. Am planning on living around Manly, and would love to eventually meet you guys and possibly hang out! I know almost no-one there and would be great meeting people!
  5. Yeah, not really into dude lifeguards (in my country most lifeguards are male), but if there is a nice girl life guard Ill be trying to catch her eye definitely!! - joke too! In the end I will go out there, can not afford not swimming or surfing in OZ!!!! I was looking for tips and perhaps a couple more cowards like myself so i didnt fear alone! Asides from Sharks, how is live in Sydney? I am moving to Manly, a couple of friends are receiving me at their house but must look for a flatshare at Manly... How is the vibe there, are people as cool as you hear? I know this 2 friends and nobody else in all Australia, quite nervous for that too....
  6. hahaha, thanks a lot guys, I am from Peru (great waves in here too if you guys ever wanna visit), laughed really hard with scottishstacey expression "being munched" lol.... Yeah I know, odds are against being bitten, and can understand that one cannot live afraid through life, its just that these sharkdudes really freak me out, perhaps because I have never dealt with that risk... The lifeguard option is very good too. Have you guys heard something about bright colours attrackting them or is that just "shark tales"? Again, thanks to everyone!
  7. Hello Everyone! I am moving to Syd to study an MBA on march 2013 (moving to Manly). I like surfing back at my home town, where you can surf freely at all times of day without any shark danger (no shark attacks registered throughout time). However, I have been watching news of several shark attacks at OZ and I am really freaked out about it! I am even considering not surfing, which would be the worst for me because I am really looking forward to it!! I just hate those sea dinasours (but mean them no harm)!! Any tips or comments???? Thanks a lot!
  8. Hello Emma, I am Francisco, and am moving to Sydney to do an MBA on MGSM. However, I plan living on the northern beaches hopefully manly. I have a couple of friends there from my original country living there too. I will be going last week of february / start of march 2013. I am really excited about it and also quite nervous.... would be great having more familiar people around. Stay in touch!!! Francisco
  9. I am Francisco, 29 year old from Perú. I studied Law but worked in the business area of 3 companies, and now its time for me to complement my studies with an MBA, and I got in to Macquarie Graduate School of Business at Sydney. The program starts the 1st of april 2013, but I am moving to OZ on the last week of february. Eventhough the Uni is a bit far from the beach, I am arriving to Manly Beach, being that I have a couple of friends living there. Afterwards, I will be looking for a flatmate in Manly (and make the hour trip to the University , but still wanna live by the beach). I have contradictory feelings, my program lasts 15 months +/-, and I am really really excited on going there and I logicly know I will have the best year of my life, BUT, I am really attached to my family, friends, and lifestyle in Lima, Perú, and to be honest with you guys, I am feeling really heartbroken about it... Any words about this? Thanks a lot for your time!
