We have a lovely 3 bedroom home in Kellyville, a suburb of Sydney which we rent when we go on holiday. We advertise on AIRBNB and Gumtree and Craigslist. We have rented it twice in the last 1 1/2 years to UK applicants who were moving to Sydney. We are on Skype - rmconley - and show our home from our laptop. Both families have raved about our home. If you or anybody you know is interested in renting a home in the Sydney area, we are going on holiday from 6 October to 1 November and 24 November to 11 December and would be happy to rent our home to UK applicants.

The closest train stations from the Hills Shire are Beecroft to the east or Schofields, to the west. We live in Kellyville and there is a bus which goes to the CBD regularly. If you are coming down in October, we are renting our house from 6 October to 1 November while we go on holiday. We have a lovely fully-furnished 3 bedroom home in Kellyville, about a 1 hour bus commute to the CBD. We are asking $600/week, but it is available only from 13 April until 5 October as we are going on a long holiday. Hi Vic2013, We have a lovely fully furnished 3 bedroom house for rent in Kellyville, which isn't too much of a drive to Epping. We are going on holiday from 13 April to 5 October and will be renting our home for $700/week including everything - no bills for electricity, gas, WIFI, water or anything else to pay. We have 2 lovely Siamese cats that live here and are our pets. They will only require a bit of attention. We need to rent our house for the entire time we are away - if you can't get here by 13 April, we can arrange for a neighbour to take care of our cats until you arrive. Our house is at the bottom of a cul-de-sac with 10 houses on it - and 23 kids live on it. Plenty of young children and childcare is readily available in the area. Kellyville is much nicer than Kings Langley and is about the same distance to Epping. You should be able to view our house on airbnb - just enter Kellyville, Australia and look for a furnished house. In NSW, you pay the rent for the property, electricity, gas (if used) and water usage. You will usually have to pay a 4 week rental bond which is lodged with the Rental Bond Board and it is returned to you after you vacate the premises providing you have not caused any damage. It usually takes several weeks to get the bond back. The landlord pays for property rates and the other water charges besides the usage. If you want it, you can also get cable TV which you have to pay for.

Yes it is - though some people tip in expensive restaurants or when they receive exceptional service. Where service people in the UK, US, Canada and Europe only get paid the absolute minimum wage, here in Australia, they get in excess of $20/hour.

It is possible to find "serviced apartments" - usually 2 bedrooms for in excess of $1200/week. We have a fully furnished 3 bedroom house for rent from 13 April, - but not in the centre of Sydney. The CBD is reachable by bus from our house. For more info - please send a private message.
