  1. Hi there, I am moving over to Oz next week and am wondering if anybody could help re travel insurance? Stupid question, but do I need to get travel insurance for when I am in oz- I have de facto sponsorship, subclass 309, but am wondering about how to cover my health whilst i am out there. I know I am eligible to be on Medicare, but if something (god forbid) happens, will I also be covered or should I take a trip to the post office and get myself some travel cover? im also not 100% sure what my cover is with dental? Any help would be really appreciated!!!! thanks in advance! zo

It seems to be pretty difficult to comprehend but I really so hope we apply. Are their any agents you could recommend contacting? We have just parted ways and obviously want to sort this out as soon as we can. We are able to provide references from family etc etc x thank you guys so much

    Defacto requirements

Hi guys. Another defacto question for you. my boyfriend and I have been dating for 19months, he is Australian and I am British. We first dated in Canada but shortly after he had to go back to Sydney for Uni. After two months I went over to Sydney and lived with him for three months. Then moved into a place with a friend from back home. Cam and I have a lot of evidence of being together and spent the equivalent of every night with eachother (at my place or his). At the end of my year visa we spent two months living together and travelling the east coast. i returned home to the UK in August 2012 for a family wedding and he completed his studies. We talked every day and remained in a long distance relationship. He came to England in December, spent Christmas with my family and we went to travel Central America for six weeks in January. We are still travelling as I write this. At the end of our trip we have to part ways again (him to sunset for work and me to London to work and save). We want to apply for a defacto visa however I am incredibly new to this area and would really like some help. Can we apply for a visa while we are in different countries? We both want this to work and have lived together in total for about 8 months (plus the time when we went from eachothers places which would make a year.) is it possible to apply for a defacto while I am in the uk and him in oz? Does anybody have any info? Thank you, sorry for the life story x
