  1. Anyone have any ideas on my question?
  2. A friend of mine thinking of migrating to Canberra from Sydney as his skill is in demand in canberra. But the problem that he is facing is that his current company in Sydney is living social which doesn't have an office in canberra. They have a job opening in canberra which will be on the field so he won't have a office as such. Just wondering would this qualify for visa 190?

  4. Btw, I got my visa 190! ) for a high risk country, it depends on your pcc. Have you already gotten that?
  5. Thanks Katyroo and Franconian. I didn't get a case officer assigned! just got an email grant which was pretty weird. I asked my lawyer and he said sometimes you just get the grant, and laster he told me it was team 32.
  6. Hi guys, i got my 190 visa granted today ))))) so god damn happy!!! Hope all goes well with everyone!
  7. Yup that makes sense. But I have also heard if there is something the doctor would tell you before posting the results to DIAC. There is nothing to worried about? Regarding my Indian pcc I have already applied, lets see how long that takes. Hopefully it comes sooner than they said.
  8. Congrats franconian hope all goes smoothly now. I lodged mine on the 14th of Dec , haven't gotten my CO assigned yet. Just had a question , my Indian PCC was issued on 24th feb 2012, as per immigration it should be valid for 12 months? Is that so? Last time when I got t done it came in 4 days, this time it as been referred to Indian and might take 6-8 weeks or so it says No worries katyroo, hope all goes well for us now after Franco has gotten his CO assigned.
  9. Hi guys, just wanted to join the forum, I applied for my 190 on the 14th of December and waiting for a case officer to be assigned. I spoke to immigration today and they advised that generally the period for co to be assigned is 5 weeks but because of Christmas shutdown it might take 7-8 weeks as they were off from the 28th of Dec to early this week.
  10. Hi all, I applied for my PCC on 13/12/12 and was expecting to get it in 5 working days as when I applied last time it only took 4 days which was in Sydney. This time I applied through vfs Canberra and after a couple of emails to them they replied yesterday that it has been sent to authorities in India and will take on an average 6 to 8 weeks. Just wondering does it go to the high commission in India and then to the regional police office or how does it work. After reading posts on expat and other forums , posts by shanders I am very worries that it might take a long while is there anything I can do to expedite the process? By sending my father to the RPO or to the embassy ? Any help would be appreciated.
