Hi I have just completed getting all the information together to register my qualifications and career as a hairdresser but now we have some bad news? Is it true that hairdresser (code 391111) has now been removed from the skills list for Australia? What knock on effect will this have for me. I have just paid to get a sworn statements and documents witnessed? Is it worth progressing my Trades Migration application ( $300 Australian dollars). I was just about to pop it into the post (its all ready to go) and i heard this terrible news. Please can you provide a constructive path forward? I registered my expression of interest (EIO) for a hairdresser career in Australia in October but needed this TRM skills approval paperwork to get to the next stage. Help

The sworn statement link appears to be for Australian citizens as the legal witness list refers to people that practice in Australia. Please see text below: Being Self employed in England UK, I have to make a Statutory Declaration and it requires a witness. On the link quoted above i find the following: I live overseas and need to make a statutory declaration You will need to find a witness who is both: on the list of authorised witnesses has a connection with Australia. For example, a doctor who is registered to practise medicine in Australia can witness your declaration, but a doctor who is not registered in Australia cannot. Can i not use my accountant? What sort of Australia connection do you require? Jane
