good news guys, My nomination and visa were both granted this morning! That was fast hey! For your info: Chef Parramatta Office submitted: 7Nove2011 Agent: Vinton DRC

some updates guys, As I posted previously, our application was submitted in early Oct and two days ago, DIAC admin replied my bf's inquiry email saying our case was just allocated to an case officer Simon, and he might contact us at some point... But when i called my agent, he had no idea about this. So we are not sure if our app was really allocated and is in process or not.. i got a chinese friend submitted his nomination and visa app together on 2 Nov(Parramatta office, bistro cook), was contacted by CO a week ago, whose nomination was approved successfully. As required, he submitted some supporting documents and hopefully his visa will get granted soon! His coworker , who was also sponsored by this restaurant, submitted 1 day before him, but got his 187 visa granted 2weeks ago! So apparently DIAC is not doing stuff in timing order.. And it has not much to do with low/high rick countries. Even though ours are all DRC they choose the more reliable agents, or good reputaion firms, assessing those in the first time.. (as i think)

Hi everyone, Yeah I think Termis was right. My bf's student visa was expiring on 14 Nov, so our MA sent immi an urgent letter to rush the ack letters and BVA. That was why we got the letters very quickly. I already applied for Medicare hopefully I can get the card soon. Sully, yeah since we r in Byron Bay NSW the process center is Parramatta. Personally I think Byron is really 'regional'(not popular for a 187 destination ), so does it mean CO can be alloacated quicker? My MA said every year before Xmas comes, heaps cases are sorted before COs go for holiday! Hope we good luck! Also heard tht different COs are separated from the big team to deal with 187 visas since 1 Jul 2012, which can make the process go faster than 119 and 857. But here I havn't seen anybody post a completed timeline yet?? Was anybody's 187 visa granted here???

Hi all, My bf is sponsored as a chef in Byron Bay. This is our timeline so far: 24/Oct/2012 RCB sent 31/Oct/2012 RCB approved 7/Nov/2012 Nomination and 187 Visa lodged 9/Nov/2012 Ack valid nomination letter received AND Ack valid visa application received AND bridging visa granted that's for now. If any updates I will post again! Hope everybody has the visa granted soon! Cheers x
