Hey, guys~! Finally, I got my 175 visa. I was allocated to a CO on 16 Jan this year and uploaded all the requested documents on 28 January and got a medical check on 29 January. Guess what? Visa grant letter was in my mail box this afternoon. ^^ Finally,,, finally...

Finally, I am allocated to a CO on 16 Jan 2014. I lodged my 175 application on 25 Feb 2009, which has been 5 years by now. Of course, it fell in the category 5. My CO is M. O. from Team 32, GSM Brisbane. Any information about Team 32?

Ban oi, be more patient and you'll get your pr soon. I lodged my application a little earlier than yours but am still waiting for a CO application, which seems like eternity. You're lucky that you're at least allocated to a CO and being finalized right before the stage of PR. Your wait will not be long in comparison to those of other people. You're awaiting a happy wait!!! =) Cheer up!

Well, among the cat 5 applications, the ones with a state sponsorship have been allocated to case officers before other ones without a state sponsorship. If your application was allocated to a CO without a state sponsorship, this is going to be such a good news for all 175 cat 5 applicants. It seems that DIAC has stopped the process of 175 cat 5 somehow. If Gagan still kindly helps out with updates here, can I ask Gagan for any updates on 175 cat 5? Gagan, do you still believe that DIAC will work on the 175 cat 5 applications lodged upto early 2009 by the end of February 2013, which is next month? That's what you have given an expectation before. Just help me out with any news, please! Thank you so much in advance!

Hi, guys! How's it going? There's going to be another update tomorrow but it seems that it's not going to be a good news to 175 cat 5 applicants. I don't know what's going on exactly but DIAC started to slow down the process of 175 cat 5's. As long as I understand, cat 5 applications have to be allocated to case officers by the order of lodgement dates, then DIAC has to deal with the process of 175 cat 5's upto mid 2009 as they did for 885 cat 5's in the same category. However, DIAC now speeds up for 885 cat 5's again leaving 175 cat 5's aside, which seems unfair to me. This had to be our turn and it's very much frustrating that I have to wait for another year or two before an CO allocation. I know we've been all waiting long and sick and tired of waiting more. What the hell wrong with DIAC? What did we do wrong? I think we should be treated better. We deserve it. I am thinking about withdrawing my application but DIAC does not pay refunds, which does not make sense. It is fact that DIAC is not willing to give PR's to all cat 5 applicants and asks us to wait with patience though we waited for more than 3 or 4 years. It is apparent that DIAC hesitates to grant cat 5's with PR's and is not willing to refund our applications. What the hell is this? Is it like "We're not giving you a PR. Wait until you're tired of waiting and forget you even applied for it. Your money's donation to Australia and you're an idiot. Bye!" policy?!!!

Right! Seems like they are doing a very sluggish processing for 175 cat 5's. What did we 175 cat 5 applicants do wrong to be treated like this?

Hello, Gagan4321! Last time when I asked for your advice, you said that it would be very likely that 175 cat5 applications lodged in February 2009 would be allocated by February 2013. However, in this post, you're mentioning all 2009 applicants will be delayed upto July 2013, which is very sad! Is it the news that your source released to you? I am so upset that Australia is not consistent with their immigration policy and they are not fair to allocate applicants to case officers. I lodged my application as a 175 cat 5 on 25 Feb 2009 and not allocated to a case officer but my friend who lodged in September 2009 without any state nomination or anything was allocated to a case officer the other day. I don't understand this at all. I and my friend fall in the same subclass, same category, same job, same IELTS test results, same period of work experiences and we both are single. While I lodged earlier and hear no news from DIAC, my friend is now preparing for his further documents for further processing. I wonder if Australia has a fair sysyem indeed or probably they're having a huge systemic error on their e-system. Gagan4321, I sincerely ask for your precious opinion again. I am so desperately wanting to go to Australia with all this after all!

I just wanted to know if there's ANY one who has heard of anything from personal source at the DIAC about the 175 cat 5 allocation plans for 2012-2013 years. Anyway, thank you so much for your reply.
