  1. Hi Weston, Thanks for your reply. In my "Points Test Advisory Letter-General Skilled Migration" only shows me Qualification/s (Bachelor degree). However, in the end of "Skilleed Migration Assessment" letter, VETASSESS did mention "Skills Assessment Outcome: Positive" but no precisely period of time like your case. It sounds weird, doesn't it?
  2. Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone have the similar situation I face now and might help me out. I got a positive skills assessment from VETASSESS, according to their letter, the column of "duration of employment" said "Based on the evidence provided, more than 3 years of employment is assessed as highly relevant to the nominated occupation and completed at an appropriate skill level in the five years before the date of applying for this skills assessment." So, base on the aforementioned results, when I calculate points of oversea employment, does it mean I only get 5 instead of 10 points (for at least 5 years)? Or may I claim 10 points because my total duration of employment has be completed over 5 years in this May? However, one month later after the skill assessment I sent out, I left the old company and joined to the counterpart (i.e. the old company's competitor) at similar position and exactly same job functions. I wonder, shall I start over the skills assessment again in order to show VETASSESS the accumulation of working experience over 5 years? Or alternatively, I can evidence my job position and the new company I work for now are highly related the nominated occupation as I claim 10 points for EOI point test? I should be grateful to hear your suggestions and valuable advises, thanks a lot. Cheers
  3. Thank you Quoll, could we say focusing my research on those positions in private companies rather than public service ones is suggested?
  4. Hi Sunniecat, thank you very much for your help and it's quite handy.
  5. Hi guys, I am not quite sure one thing about the guidelines for applying for ACT nominated skill (subclass 190): the "Evidence that there are, currently, sufficient ACT employment opportunities" particularly, for those OVERSEAS residents, personal research into recent advertised positioned (a minimum of 5 vacancies) (provide a copy of full advertisement, WEB LINKS AND/OR SCREEN SHOTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE), if so, doesn't it mean even well-known headhunter's website job posts wouldn't be considered, does it? I wonder, for people who do not live in Canberra or Australia, how could I have "a copy of full advertisement? It sounds to me like advertisements on local (Canberra) newspaper, but problem is I am not live in Australia yet, how come? So confused me now, and I do appreciate to know everyone's experience on this, thank you very much. Cheers
  6. Hi guys, I wonder if my bad handwriting (still readable, I believe affects my score in IELTS (writing section)? Before resitting, I would like to know if any other causes not mentioned on the IELTS guide book, thanks. Cheers
  7. Hey guys, I have a quick question, is it most important on the current occupation you hold than those previous working experience you had when the regional sponsored government and DIAC evaluate your applications? For example, after receiving a positive result of skills assessment (VETASSES) (over 5yrs working experience on nominated skilled occupation) by this year, what if I change my occupation which is not on skilled occupation list next year, shall I still be able to apply for Skilled Migration visa (subclass 489)? I mean, when I log EOI next year, will my new job impact the state nomination decision? Likewise, will DIAC decline skilled employment points due to my new non-nominated skilled occupation (even in the same company)? Does it mean your current job must be on the list? Or it is acceptable as above situation I might encounter? Cheers & Thanks for help.
  8. Thanks mate, I hope Im not the only person encountering such circumstance....someone can help me, please & thx
  9. Hey there, Now I face a dilemma of my career path, either swap to internal different department or join the competitor's company, both are the same position, same duties but different supervisor or employer. However, my question is not about the job decision but the application processes.... More specifically, during the pending (waiting) period of EOI, what if my position held is changed after I receive the skill assessment letter (positive), does it mean I need to start again from the beginning of skill assessment? or only I need to do is updating on EOI ? or just waiting the subclass 190/489 visa invitation and then mentioning it on the form 1022 (Notification of changes in circumstance) with related documents to enclose such as new company's payslips, contract?
  10. Thank you Taylor, One more question, what if after skill assessment letter (positive) I get from VETASSESS, I change my job (same position, industry, in other words, our company's competitors now), does it mean I need to start again from skill assessment or only I need to do is mentioning it on the form 1022 (Notification of changes in circumstance) also attached related documents such as new company's payslips, contract? Thanks for help in advance.
  11. Hi there, I am waiting for VETASSES’s skill assessment result and looking forward doing EOI as soon as I get a positive feedback from VETASSES. Before reaching my final goal, visa subclass 190 or 489, I notice there are some documents requested by DIAC, such as birth certification, evidences to support point test (such as qualification document, employer work reference…etc) aren’t those the same documents we had sent to VETASSES? Shall we just provide Advisory Letter to DIAC without sending the same documents again? (like work reference, payslips, taxation record...etc) I had asked the notary public for two copies for each document as applying skill assessment, so, may I use those already certified document later (say couple months later) for DIAC’s request if no changes in circumstance? Or it is must to give new certified original ones with a signature and date from notary public again? Please let me know if I have misunderstanding and welcome your experience to share, thanks. Cheers
  12. Hi Kuroneko, According to the SRG1 Explanatory notes, evidence of paid employment such as paylips or contract is part of its request. If you can not have certified work reference from your employer, a statutory declaration is alternative. You can find the details on SRG1 appendix C, good luck : ) Cheers
  13. Hi guys, I have been a little bite confused by the points based visa as understanding the process of subclass 489. Right now, my points is 50 and need 10 points to reach the pass mark (60), does it mean I still can apply EOI and have to wait for either regional sponsor or nominated state or gov’s invitation’s 10 points ? Or for a general skilled migration program, it is necessary to get its pass mark first then be eligible to apply for EOI? I want to ensure the rule, after all, the application fee is non-refundable…
  14. Thanks Wellers and Whitehead, indeed, it takes a while to complete all processes, well, I will ask my boss for the reference letter once he is in good mood...keep fingers crossed : )
