  1. Thanks Dave, In Ireland, the full 'C' licence is good for all ridgid heavy goods vehicles. I currently have a provisional. I think the WA equivalent is the 'HR' licence. From the WA transport website I think they are mutually transferable (maybe after a practical test). The cost in Ireland is up to €1000, maybe €6-700 if you only need a few test runs and can use the truck for the test, and the cost of the test itself, it all adds up. Meanwhile I'm finishing my degree in controls and automation, any work in that area around WA? Not much in the way of experience tho, will be starting at graduate level. Basically, throw enough at the wall, something might stick! Cheers.
  2. Ya, I am in the same position, but my OH has a job already (nearly). Should be moving in Jan but have read somewhere on this site about bus driving jobs around perth with veolia transport, pretty good money, clean work. (so it seems) May be an agent sexing up the job to get more applicants! I am thinking of going for the full 'C' licence before I go. Would cost €1000 and take at least 2 months, Is it worth it?
  3. HI All, We will be moving shortly, 2 of us and 2 kids, willeton would be top of the list so far. Has anyone had the experience of getting a long term let straightaway, would be ideal way to go. Dream on maybe Thanks, A.
