Hello, I have just looked at my current policy for our two dogs and it looks like the insurance will be invalid once we move. Does anyone know if there are reciprocal pet insurance companies in Australia or will I need to start from scratch? We are currently with Petplan. Thanks Sarah:biggrin:

So much to do as this is the last weekend before the packers come. Also, taking the dogs to the vets tomorrow for boosters. Then a weekend of socialising as the goodbyes have started already!

Abbie & Peter- we have booked the Pegasus near flagstaff gardens for our first month whilst we find somewhere to rent....Our packers come next week so things feeling very real...lot's to do and time flying past, but we are very excited! Thank you for the update we are moving to Melbourne in April, and I like the idea of packing everything up myself. I have just had two quotes for shipping via my work's relocation company and the costs are v high. My only concern is how we apportion the weight for items of furniture. We will be mainly taking boxes, but do want to take our dining table and a long side board. Has anyone used a move cube to take big items of furniture?

Hello- I am moving to Australia early next year & will be relocating with my company. I am in the final throes of agreeing my package & relocation, but am confused regarding pension/superannuation. A the moment I pay in 'x' to my pension and my company match this plus 2%. When I have asked about the equivalent in Australia I have been told that I must pay 9% increasing to 12% super. Is it common to ask employers to contribute some of this/ or match what I contribute? Advice gratefully received.

Quick update- so Melbourne here we come- and we are so excited. Just awaiting contract this week from work then we will book our flights for the first week of April 2013. The dogs have had their injections and blood tests are tomorrow, so our 5 month count begins and the to do list gets longer!
