  1. Exactly!! That's what I've been saying to my partner all along
  2. Support of the family.... not the latest idea to get to Australia then? as you mentioned in your first post.... our latest idea not THE latest idea is what I meant... i agree with you wholly, but her mother is the mastermind this and trying to tell that women anything she doesn't want to hear is near on impossible, she just won't accept that she's wrong. That's why I just wanted to know if anyone had successfully done it regardless of cost.

    LOL

Hahahahahaha! It was a good decision from the ref, he had no choice it was dangerous wether it was malicious or not. If it was the other team fergie would have been wetting himself.
  4. We are both English her mother has just got Australian citizenship or will have after the ceremony but has passed the test. It does cost a fortune and like you say the idea would be to move where the jobs are after graduation. We thought doing it there would just be easier because of the support from family.
  5. And we have nothing to ship over either.
  6. So the latest on a long list of ideas to get to Australia is for my partner to go to college in Queensland and do a nursing degree. We would be living with her parents for a while in Brisbane Until I could find a job and she would find a part time job too. the good thing is we have nothing holding us to the uk and we should have a good lump of cash in the bank due to inheritance. I just wondered if anyone on here had moved to Australia as a student looking to make the move permanent in the long run? Any advice would be much appreciated as usual. Oh and we have a 6 month old baby.

    Alcohol

If its just a glass of wine with dinner I can't see the harm, although I'm no doctor. But if its excessive drinking daily like a bottle a day, then it can't be good for anyone's health.
  8. That's unfortunate that you had to move back, to Rochdale of all places (I'm from Bury) you don't happen to be a sprayer do you? It's just a lad at my work place did exactly what you described and he was from Rochdale I think.
  9. Time served Cnc wood machinist looking for job and sponsorship in the brisbane area. 6 years experience on different machines, pm me if you want any more info or a resume. Thanks Jamie.
  10. Thanks I've got alot to think about now and get on with.
  11. Thanks walvia. I think if it's not to bad I might as well try myself and save on the money.
  12. Haha I wish I got lie ins in the first place.
  13. Haha cal, well we are supposed to be going over for crimbo if all goes well with the baby in 3 WEEKS
  14. I assume thats what her mother did ie get the 457 as she transferred to the oz branch of the company she worked for over here and like I said before she's about to get permanent res now if she passed the geography test so that may well be the option for us. If I was to find a job for sponsorship would it be better to get a migration company to do the work or go it alone or is it simply too much work to do alone?
  15. That sounds great dansi. I have 5 years experience and an nvq in manufacturing if that counts for anything.
