  1. Hi Barry Sorry to hear that. However, can you please enlighten me, in your case did you got qualifications points or not on TRA points advice to DIBP? Also can you please inform me, does your 3 years work experience substituted formal qualification requirements? If you dont mind you can share your occupation too. Thanks mate.
  2. Hi, I can not believe that, yours and mine circumstances were very closely similar. I was too in Australia on SRS subclass 475 visa and was living in regional WA. I was settled there after a big struggle for initial months but the wheels of destiny moved soon and I was required to go back to India even before months of my 475 regional visa expired. I am still trying to get rid from the shock that my visa were expired and I was required to leave Australia and my rented home and other stuffs which I got after a lot of struggle. I think it was only our bad luck which forced us to leave our good lives otherwise why we were required to leave Australia while we were not involved in any visa breach or any criminal activity? There is no offense on my name in Australia not even a single memo for breaking traffic or parking rules but I can see over the internet that, many people are working illegally but they are still there hence what we can call it, i think just bad luck nothing else even those without any skills or knowing English language are getting a chance to settle there like refugees. Now I am also desperately interested to move back to Australia and looking for getting a visa again. I wish you best of luck.
  3. Hi Rupert, Many thanks mate. I have seen a post here recently where an applicant got his skills assessment with NVQ level 2 and I found that it is one year course. Hence I think my one year course will be fine not sure though. But if I look in a broaden scenario then I can assume that, it should not be a problem (only one year course) because the institute through which I have passed the course is Government of India undertaking and it is only Government institute across all over India which is offering skilled trade courses formal education like Fitter, Welder, Electrician, A/C Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electronic Equipment Mechanic and so on and many courses are for either one year or even for six months only i.e. Welder. Hence, if the DIAC consider other courses then it should consider my course as well. I am Motor Mechanic by profession and I passed Diploma in Automobiles from a private unrecognized institute and lived in Australia for 18 months on SRS 475 visa but under influence of bad circumstances I did not lived there for long time and not applied for PR or 487 visa. Thanks & Best regards.
  4. Hi, I have skilled work experience in an Automotive occupation which is different from my recognized educational qualification. I have passed 1 year PPO (Plastic processing operator) course from the Government of India undertaking Industrial Training Institute which is recognized and accredited institution. I have following queries: 1) Can I get points for my recognized educational qualification which is completely different from my entire work experience in Automotive field? 2) Is there any compulsion or rule that, I should have a specific number of years study to get educational points? like atleast 2 years full time study to get 10 points. 3) My formal educational qualification is 1 year PPO (Plastic processing operator) course and there are no relevant occupations in either SOL or CSOL related to it. So can I get points even there are no occupations related to the course in SOL or CSOL? 4) As per SkillSelect website it is mentioned there that, "You may be able to receive points for a qualification that is not related to your nominated occupation. If the authority that conducts your skills assessment cannot give you an opinion about this qualification, contact Vocational Education Training and Assessment Services.". Hence I want to know that, do I compulsory required to apply for a Migration Points Advice from TRA to get educational qualification points? I have my skills assessment issued by TRA in the early 2007 under pathway D which was later removed from TRA in the year September 2007. It is also mentioned in the SkillSelect website to get 10 points that, "Documents that prove you have an award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation". But in my skills assessment it is not mentioned that, my educational qualification was recognised by TRA as it was assessed before 6 years. 5) Can I apply for a skilled visa without asking TRA for Migration Points Advice as my educational qualification is recognized and accredited by the Government of India and the awarding body is Government of India undertaking authority for any Trade certificate issuance in India? I actually lost hope to get a visa for Australia as my automotive qualification can not recognized in Australia and I also posted a post in past to let you guys know that but suddenly while shuffling my documents I found that, OMG I have done a course in past before 16 years which can earn me points for educational qualification. Hence, I have found a ray of light that, yes there are still possibilities to fulfill my long term dream to settle in Australia. I have already contacted a well-known MARA agent and paid his fees as well before 7 months but I was not answered properly from him and hence I am not thinking to hire services of any MARA agent for my current queries. I have also contacted him before sometime but he is now asking to pay more. I would like to thank you all at the forum.
  5. I asked that because it is the only thing which is yet preventing me to apply for a visa. I have successful TRA skills assessment which issued in 2007 and also got sponsorship from SA under skillsselect but yet not applied for a visa because I think though not sure that, my educational qualification is not comparable to Australian qualification. I also contacted a MARA agent but even after paid his consultancy charges (which is a big amount in Indian currency) I am yet unanswered about that, whether I will be awarded points for my qualification or not?. Hence, now I am tired and gutted even after spending a big amount and I have now decided to apply for a visa without fearing about refusal of my application. Hence, prior to that, I wanted to know about anyone's refusal due to not comparable qualification.
  6. HiBefore leaving my dream to reach Australia, I just want to know if anyone's application for TRA skills assessment or Migration points application / Visa application refused due to their educational qualification degree is not comparable to Australian degree? Thanks.
  7. Hi I am regular visitor of the forum but not actively posted many threads. I have given up hopes to reach to Australia again. I would like to say thanks and best of luck to all members and visitors. God bless you all!!!
  8. Hi Any changes in policy for skilled immigration from July 2013? Is there any chances that, the DIAC can reduce IELTS score to claim points? Thanks.
  9. Hi rose4rose & butros, Can you please inform about the above? Thanks.
  10. Can you please elaborate what is allowed now and what did you done same as butros? Thank you.
  11. Hi Thanks for your reply however, you have replied to me not Mausam actually. Can you please let us know that, how DIAC will count skilled work experience without formal qualification in case of 3 years of relevant experience substitutes for the formal qualification?I have over 13 years of TOTAL work experience and do not have a formal qualification. In that case can I get 15 points my over 8 years of work experience in last 10 years? OR 3 years will be deducted from my last 10 years work experience and I will get 10 points for 5 years work experience in last 10 years? In short, I want to ask you that, 3 years of substitute relevant experience will be deducted from TOTAL work experience or from 10 years work experience? Hope you will help and reply. Thank you.
  12. Hi mausam, thanks. however, my question is slight different. I want to ask that, if the Case officer do not recognize my degree and do not award any points then, will I get points for skilled work experience? I am not asking about points after degree but if degree not recognized then, will i get points for work experience or not? pls. reply. thanks
