Hey,
I did the whole shebang myself and did not receive any professional help. I was going to appoint a migration agent at one stage but decided to do it myself. As for the question with DIAC and compassionate circumstances mine was genuine. I have recently suffered a marriage breakdown as well as domestic violence acted upon me. To finish it off she won't allow me to see my daughter until it goes to mediation, and my grandma died last month and also I am/was suffering psychological stress from moving being kept in suspense visa wise.
Everything was all above board, but just remember guys if you apply for compassionate & compelling circumstances be prepared to have evidence upfront should DIAC request it and remember to keep in touch with them
