  1. Aslong as you're a permanent resident or citizen you should have no problem sponsoring.
  2. Hey, I did the whole shebang myself and did not receive any professional help. I was going to appoint a migration agent at one stage but decided to do it myself. As for the question with DIAC and compassionate circumstances mine was genuine. I have recently suffered a marriage breakdown as well as domestic violence acted upon me. To finish it off she won't allow me to see my daughter until it goes to mediation, and my grandma died last month and also I am/was suffering psychological stress from moving being kept in suspense visa wise. Everything was all above board, but just remember guys if you apply for compassionate & compelling circumstances be prepared to have evidence upfront should DIAC request it and remember to keep in touch with them
  3. In Feb this year immi granted me my 820 partner visa. Me and my wife split up in April. I rang immi and told them all the details. In May I had a call from immi requesting Aus police check and my daughters birth certificate. I then posted it to them on 18th June including a letter why we had split up. On Monday 24th June I received a letter stating they have granted me a 801 partner visa and I am now a permanent resident. I also told them I was suffering from migration and seeing a psychiatrist over this and over the marriage break down. My nan sadly passed away in June so I included that in the letter as well as a psychologist letter and I asked to be considered under compassionate and compelling circumstances. So all in all its taken 10 months to go from a bridging visa to a 820 temporary to a 801 pr visa. Very very happy and it is honestly one of the best feelings. I cannot stop checking my vevo entitlement page (sad I know LOL)
  4. Hi, I came here over three months ago on a tourist visa and when I applied for my 820 partner visa I got a bridging visa and applied for work rights to be removed. I applied for my tax file number. Will I be charged as a resident or a foreign resident deducting - 32.5c of each dollar earned?
  5. Hi there, I am currently on a working visa that expires today. When will my bridging visa show on VEVO?
  6. I applied for the 1005 no work right to be removed because of my wife being pregnant. She has suffered from fluid in her ankles and has a relief - casual job which meant she doesn't get a consistency of work. I provided evidence of our bank statement back dated the last 3 months and a copy of the baby scan including a letter from doctor confirming pregnancy.
  7. How much did that cost you? What kind of stuff did you pack?
  8. Me and my wife have clothes in the UK, and I have sentimental stuff. Has anyone used the above company? What are the reviews? I will probably have about 4-5 large cardboard boxes full with light - heavy stuff. A container would be too excessive for me as it is mainly small - little items.
  9. I handed in my partner 820 application on Friday, filled out form 1005 stating why I think my no work right condition should be removed off my bridging visa. Rang DIAC earlier to check everything was OK, they told me that my 1005 form had been accepted and I can work in Australia starting next week. YAY!!!!:biglaugh::em3600:
