  1. Visa grant confirmed yesterday! Now to start planning.
  2. Congratulations. Got our medicals booked for next week so hopefuly with eHealth we should be receiving a grant within the month.
  3. The technical issue of this process are driving me nuts and there are lots on inconsistencies with the info on the web site. If I try to find the status of my application via https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/inquiry/query/query.do?action=eVisa/ then I get an error (and have been getting it from the start) when I try to login. However, if I first login to the skillselect site and then click the 'continue a saved application' then I can get in ok and it shows the status as 'In Progress' which it has been for the last 7 weeks. The info on the web site says that you'll be assigned a CO within 5 weeks (for 190 visa) and that they will email you when assigned. After 6 weeks I eventually gave up waiting and phoned them and they said that I had already been assigned a CO but that the CO would only contact me if they needed some more info. The status didn't change there was no way to know if it was assigned or not. Now I've been trying to progress with the medicals but again I get an error when I click on the 'Organise your medicals' link which registers us for eHealth. (it works for one link but not for e other 2 people on the application). The medical centre say they can't find any of us on eHealth and can't progress without us completing the registration. It's crazy and very frustrating.
  4. Hi Maninjin25, I too was receiving that error when directly using the URL you posted. However if you first login to skillselect and then click the link 'continue a saved application' within the skillselect portal you should be able to see the status of your application. Not sure why one works and one doesn't.
  5. Hey there, I've just made exactly the same mistake. Got SS for Victoria, had my skills assessment completed (ACS) and then submitted my 176 Visa application. Had also misread the English requirements and thought I'd get full marks being from UK and having English as native language. Just heard back from Case Officer to say I only have 60 points and therfore don't meet the 65 point threshold and can't sit the IELTS retrospectivley so my application will be refused and no refund. I feel like an idiot as I must have filled in 50 forms over the course of this entire process and read and reread the forms but somehow missed this obvious mistake. Did you try to chase a refund? Any luck? I've now booked my IELTS course in July but even if I pass it I've missed the 1st July cut off so will need to reapply under skillselect options (which would have accepted my 60 points anyway!). I'm now worried that I had informed Victoria SS department of my visa application number so I'll need to contact them and explain my application was refused. Does that mean the SS has gone now as well? Frustrated, angry at myself and skint!
