I would definitely recommend TPG. We had unlimited internet and unlimited international calls for $80. Then, because we weren't making use of the international calls they called us to advise to just go on unlimited internet for $60. I didn't have to chase them, they called me. :-)

Hi again everyone!!! Where has the sun gone???? :wacko: What does everyone think of their choices of internet provider in their home and electricity suppliers?? We are moving into an apartment on the weekend and want to know the best suppliers with the best prices. Thanks all Jim Ps, does anyone surf on the weekends? If that's you, what's the best surf spot closest to Brisbane? (Without going to North to Noosa or South to Surfers)

Hi everyone!!!! Me and my partner have just moved to Brisbane and would like any advice on which is the best bank to go with??? NAB, Westpac and Commonwealth seem like the obvious choices, but after googling they all have some terrible reviews. Also, do you get charged from using an ATM that doesn't belong to your bank??? Hi Everyone, My girlfriend and I are just waiting for our application to go through at the moment before heading out to join you all in Brisbane. We have been fortunate enough to have been offered sponsorship through her employers. I am a Security Systems Technician by trade and I would like to hear from anyone who has moved to Queensland with a trade. Did you find it difficult to transfer your qualifications over? I want to transfer my quals before we leave so I can start work as soon as possible. I am aware of the TRA approach, but as far as I understand this is only used if you are applying for migration using the trade skills. Am I wrong? I also know that I need to get a Queensland cable licence and Security checks (vetting), does your employer usually do this on your behalf or do you need to get it done before you even apply for a job? Any info is greatly appreciated :smile: Kind regards Jim
