  1. Do you have few subjects of ICT in your radio electronics course. If so, ACS can determine Major or minor in ICT based on the number of hours you have spent on your ICT subjects. You need to provide detailed info of your university syllubi to evidence this.
  2. Cannot conclude with the above. Check ACS site on requirements to prove "majors" in Computing even though your degree is not in computing. There are few requirements stated in the site (number of subjects and hours) which you can check if you qualify.
  3. Your engineering degree.. what were ur majors? Did it involve computing subjects?
  4. Do you mind sharing on what grounds was your ban? You can formally register a complaint if your agent is a registered one.
  5. Select MARA agent carefully who can advise you and has experience of handling such cases in relevent field before. My agent recommended RPL blindly and asked me to go RPL way, but i had my assesment done myself without RPL.
  6. Yes for sure... I hold a bachelors degree (BS) which had computing subjects and able to get assessed. You are required to provide detailed copy of syllabus.
  7. What would happen to Tax File number, Medicare? I hope there would be issues around these.
  8. With SkillSelect, you have the abilitiy to choose multiple states in your EOI. You could apply for each of the states for SS and finalize based on the outcome.
  9. For 190, is it necessary to spend "firtst" 2 years in the state? Appreciate if anyone could reply...
  10. I got my label done in 4 weeks time. Pls check vfs websites / call vfs helpdesk in your country for getting your label they do have timelines mentioned in their websites. Cheers
  11. If your case is complex or you anticipate issues then I would suggest you to go with an agent for expert advice.. else you can apply by yourself.
  12. No Hard copy anymore.. It would be only certified copies of your transcript.. Good luck with your assessment
  13. There are few certifications listed in ACS guideline which can be treated as AQF diploma in computing. You could verify if yours is listed there to qualify as Diploma (if you are unable to prove your degree with major in computing). Note that you might loose points for Diploma qualification.. check that as well. I have got assessed under 263111..
  14. Hi Karen, You could go to http://www.abs.gov.au to check for the duties against each ANZCO code. If you find a code matching against your duties you can submit for assessment. However, you should also check if this code is in the SOL / CSOL in DIAC website . If its listed you are good to go with ACS assessment. My degree too is non-ICT one, but it had subjects on IT and closely related to IT. So, I got that assessed by submitting the syllabus detailing number of hours spent on IT subjects. Reference letters or Statutory declration are required for ACS to prove your experience. Payslips are/may be required for DIAC assessment. Do you have any vendor certifications ?
