  1. Hi, I would recommend speaking to Michael directly please pm me for his details, He'll be able to point you in the right direction. I hope it all works out for you.
  2. Just wanted to post a quick thank you to Michael from bankruptcy from abroad (BFA). We migrated to Aus just over a year ago and due to unforeseen circumstances I made the difficult decision to declare myself bankrupt for debts in the UK. Michael and his team were superb from start to finish and literally within about 6 weeks from the 1st phone call (Christmas also fell within that time frame) everything had been dealt with. BFA attended the high court in the UK on my behalf to make the official declaration and I have not had to deal with any creditors at all. Such a smooth process and a massive weight been lifted from my shoulders. Can't thank BFA enough making an extremely stressful situation a lot less stressful and advising me every step of the way. Further more even though the case has now been dealt with Michael still contacts me to make sure everything is ok and to contact him if I have any further correspondence from the official receiver. The level of customer care is outstanding and I can't recommend them enough.
  3. Thanks for this. I have a profile on linkedin, but haven't really looked on there for jobs as didn't think of that. Both myself and husband will be looking for finance jobs so think that will be the plan for this weekend!
  4. I think that's the route we're going down now. We will save enough to be able to survive for 3 months and pray that we get a job in that time! Thanks for the advice about contacting companies directly. That will be another option that we'll look at.
  5. Wow, I haven't logged on in a while as have just started a new job, and the spreadsheet has changed massively! Many congrats to all those that have received their visa's/had C.O allocated. Such an exciting time. I'm just working out how long we can survive without jobs as it looks inevitable after talking to several recruitment agencies this week that we need to be out there before they will interview us. So much for skype! Even so can't wait for it to happen. Even though we have our visa until we book those flights it still doesn't seem real. Roll on January 2013!!!
  6. I keep re-reading mine too just to makes sure it's still there! We're going to Perth too, hoping for Jan 13. Ah big congrats! It looks the June gang is finally moving!!
  7. Massive congrats! I can't update the spreadsheet but noticed on our official notification yesterday that we are team 2 aswell. Didn't know this before as our agent has dealt with everything, but seems to be all the team 2's from the spreadsheet that are getting their visas. Although could just be coincidence!
  8. Lol you were too quick for me! I just saw this so ignore the other comment I wrote saying I'd update tonight. thank you so much.
  9. Aw thank you! I'm just trying to add details onto spreadsheet in work but it doesn't seem to want to open, but will definitely update tonight when i get home if I can't do it today. Keeping everything crossed for all the others this week for visa's and c/o's. Monday & Tuesday definitely seem to be good days! I see you've got your CO now. Let's hope it moves quickly for you! x :-)
  10. Wooooohooooooo! Visa granted this morning. Soooo happy and excited. Now just to get a job and sort house out etc!
  11. So good to see some of the June gang getting their visa's granted. We have submitted everything now so fingers crossed we get ours in the next couple of days. C/O's definitely been busy last few days! :-)
  12. Just to throw a spanner in the works my ss is WA and I only took 6 days too?! Doesn't seem to be any consistency with how long the CO are taking.
  13. Definitely exciting stuff. Ah that's brilliant that you're taking the leap too! We're going to Perth too so will look out for your updates! :-)
  14. Hi fultonclan, I submitted mine on the 8th June and my status had changed to further processing on the 14th and my migration agent advised me that they had asked for medicals and police checks. I sent off for the police check last week and they still haven't cashed the cheque but I know I read it takes about 2 - 3 weeks to come back and we had the meds today. Thank god this is the final hurdle!! Can't wait to book the flights. Is anybody going over without jobs and getting work when they get over there? Both my husband and I are accountants and the thought of not having a job between us is a little daunting, but have read this would appear to be the only way to get jobs over there.
  15. Hi everyone! I'm new to this site so bear with me! We've just lodged our 176 visa. We were granted state sponsorship with WA within 1 day so hoping the visa application will be equally as quick. Does anybody know what the timeframes are at the minute? Our migration agents have suggested 4-6 months but looking at some of the turn around times here it looks like it will be much quicker. It can't come quick enough!!!
