Hi All, An update on my situation... I've gotten a CO (finally) on 8/10/2012, and she asked for my Malaysian & Singaporean police clearances as expected. There was a bit of running around, but finally managed to send both sets of documents out today...and so the wait continues... Anyone else had to do those police clearances? Would be nice to know someone who's in the same boat Cheers, Suzie

Hi Kev, I got a call from my agent yday! Finally got the long awaited invite!!! Agent's currently struggling to lodge the visa due to system bugs But I'm just relieved to have it! Urs should be on its way otherwise it may be time to investigate the delay... Suz

Yea that was what I tot too...until I saw ppl in other forums getting invitations when they submitted their EOI ID on the same day as me! Really dunno wat's the hold up on the invite...KevR are u applying on ur own? If so, I suggest u give NSW Gov a call just to make sure ur invite is in the pipeline...

Hi Katiem, Yea I did submit my EOI ID to them, on 18/7...dunno wat's the hold up...n though my sponsorship was approved on 22/6, I actually only received it on 17/7 (IMHO, DIAC told NSW to hold back on mailing out late-June approvals to avoid being swamped with 176 applications!) It's just 1 delay too many!! My agent is currently liaising with them so hopefully something turns out soon...

I read on another PIO thread about WA SS applications...and someone said WA Gov told them there is no longer a cap on 190 invitations...Dunno how true this is but MAN...the wait is really killing me! I know that they are handing out invitations in the order of who submitted their EOI ID first, but there have been others who submitted their EOI ID on the same date as me but gotten their invitation already!! The frustration!!! Well thanks...it is comforting to know there's someone else on the same boat...I was beginning to worry my application fell through the cracks somehow...hope we both get the invite soon!!

Hi All, Any idea if 190 invitations are limited in Aug? Or is it business as usual?? I got NSW SS approved on 22/6, and EOI ID submitted on 18/7 but still waiting for an invitation sigh... :arghh: Anybody else in the same boat?

Hi Everyone, Not sure if this is the right thread to post my question, feel free to redirect me if it isn't. I'm currently waiting for my NSW State Sponsorship to come in, I applied back on 25th May and my agent said due to overwhelming applications, the processing times have increased from 3-4 weeks to 4-5 weeks. So, I expect the result to come in some time next week. After which, I was going to apply for the 176 visa before the 1 July changes. However, I'm now reconsidering whether to apply for 190 under Skillselect instead. Based on the information the Immi website so far, under 190 if you have an approved State Sponsorship, you will automatically get an invitation to apply for PR (first round of invitation should be on 1 Aug). Also, the onshore/offshore distinction has been removed, as I'm currently in Sydney I could possibly apply for a Bridging Visa. Under 176, I could not. Other potential pros of applying for 190: faster processing times. Wondering if anyone else is in the same boat, on the fence between 176 and 190. If you are, what would be your decision and why?? :eek:

Hi Everyone, I'm hoping to join you guys soon, just waiting on NSW SS to come in, with all other docs ready to go for 176 application! Have been chasing agent to contact NSW on the SS, the 1st July deadline is looming and I'm going insane with worry! In any case, just to share my timeline so far: IELTS (9,8,7.5,8) - 28/5/2011 Vetassess (222311) - Applied 8/2/2012 Approved 16/5/2012 NSW SS - Acknowledged 25/5/2012 Approved ??? 176 visa: Lodged??? Here's to a speedy visa grant to all of us!
