  1. Hello, Your help would be very grateful. I am currently applying for a 189 visa and have just submitted part 1 to vetasses. At present i have submitted all evidence and hope to get awarded 4 years and 10 months experience at present, this does not hit the 5 years experience needed for minimum experience. My question is it will take over 2 months to get me to the stage of having my EOI accepted, so will they take into account that since Vetasses has granted me said experience and now i have hit the 5 year mark will they except the extra experience if i get proof of reference from my current employer to say i was still employed during the gap. Hope this makes sense and someone can answer. Many thanks Adam
  2. Hi Victor did you manage to find any extra info regarding the interview process? what trade are you going in as? i am a fire and security engineer and looking for advice or revision tips. thanks guys
  3. Thanks for your reply, have settled my mind a lot but will just have to wait and see once I submit my application. Another quick question if you do not mind, my work experience is very broken due to myself travelling in recent years. I have a few gaps for a year or so and brief employment for a few months however as I said all work experience can be verified and will add up to the 5 years out of the last 10 so that should not be a problem do you know? Thanks again

  5. Hi guys, Hope one of you clued up people out there can answer my question for me as im starting to panic a bit. Applying for 189 visa electronic instrument trades worker 342313 I am just hitting the 60 points required as long as i have the points granted for having 5 years work experience. i hit the 5 year mark in the next 150 days. The 5 years will be from the day my "pass" certificate was issued from City & Guilds. It was awarded in 2007, i have been travelling for a few years however all my experiences will add up to the 5 years within the last 10 years as required and all work has been proven by references, bank statements etc etc. My worry is i have been seeing that people claim they are having 2/3 years taken off there experience by vatasses/case officer yet do not explain why, my thinking was as they are not qualified in there trade just skilled at it so vetasses/case officer takes these years off as training? As i have qualified will they count my years work experience from my qualification or later? Anyone had any issues with there work experience getting altered or cut down? Any info would be amazing. Thanks all!

  7. Thank you for replying matte helps a lot mate. I feel a bit more relaxed now as im not going in blind. I take it it is more of a chat rather than an interrogation? Looking forward to starting the process before Australia rebel to the changes of what the UK have put in place for Aussie workers! Thanks again

  10. Hi all and thanks for your time. Background info - Im British and my lady is Australian, we are living in london and applied for our difacto visa from here. We met in Australia nearly 2 years ago and have travelled Australia and NZ together and now here in the UK. We submitted our application on 31/05/12 and recieved our pic's and flight itineries back in the post as i believe he does not need to keep these once viewed. since this i have heard nothing else but he emailed me asking to do a phone interview! Looking to see what questions he will ask. If you can remember any, please post them. Thanks!
  11. Thanks guys for your time....stressed! (back ground info) me (UK) and my lady (aussie) just submitted our defacto application from the UK to the London high commission. we met when i was on a working holiday visa in OZ and have since traveled NZ and now the UK. Been together for 20 months. (problem number 1) Our case officer has asked us a week after submitting our application to provide extra evidence for joint residence. we supplied the usually, travel doc's/employment address/pic's/some bills.....what i thought to be a very strong application however, we have already submitted all evidence we had, i guess its a bit tricky as we were travailing we would opt out of having paper copies sent to us by mail for new accounts/flights etc as its all too common to have had previous tenants mail still being delivered after they have left - threat of identity cloning! Our accomodation was also on a casual week-by-week verbal agreement found on free-to-ad web sites. it would be all inclusive so rent covers all bills and cash payment. usually sub letting. we would also take time (3 months) out to road trip/holiday, therefore not having a address and also not expecting mail. we have also spent time living with each other's families (6 months) so again it would be rent free and i'm most cases a holiday time so again no mail/no bills. The family members we have stayed with have stated in there stat dec's we stayed with them. He asked us to draw a timeline and i colour coded it with the different living arrangements *living in own accommodation *living with family *on the road/hotel/hostel along with the events that have happened in our relationship. trying to make the "picture" clearer for him. What other info/proof can i supply my case officer with? i typed him a message explaining what i have just said but in more detail...will this cause our defacto application to be declined? (problem number 2) today, a week and 2 days after submitting our application our case officer has sent back by post our pic's together and flight itineraries and booking forms, why is this? The application asks for this, some of the flight itineraries had my partners mothers address on as its the address the credit card was registered to (not all itineraries/booking forms) as its easier to keep a "base" address as we were moving around soo much?! Thanks soo much for any input however big or small, even a "i had the same" would be a nice reply!
  12. Hi all let me just say any feeback is good feedback. I am from the uk and my partner is from oz, we met when I was on a 1 yr working holiday visa in oz, we dated and travelled oz and nz and now the uk fore the past 17 monthes with the proof required to be granted a defacto visa, However on my partners form it asks how you will sponsor your partner if you are applying for this visa outside oz. She has family that will house us on arrival (till we find our own accommodation through savings and finding work) and has stated this in there stat dec. she also doesn't have a job in Australia because we have been travelling tho we are going to state that we have had no problem finding work in a verious number of differen country in the whole 17 monthes of travelling and that we as she have savings. Do you think they will give us av visa if she has no home (rented or owned) or her own and has not got a constant flow of money through work. Not really sure if I worded this right but I hope you get were I'm coming from!? Thanks
