    Visa 187 Query

Thanks Blossom79. I suppose contacting immigration for clarification would be the way forward before I mess up.
  2. I got my RSMS 187 visa granted in September this year and I'm a bit confused about 2 things: 1. Under Visa Conditions it states Nil. 2. Then on page 2 it states I have an obligation to work for the same employer in the Regional area for at least 2 years from the date the visa is granted. The problem I have is that there is no mention about my employment status during the 2 years period. I have been looking at reducing my working hours from full-time to 0.8 but I can not find anywhere clearly stating whether I am allowed to reduce my hours or not. I've got no intention of leaving my employer at all. Has anyone ever reduced working hours on this type of Visa at all or know someone who has done it? Thanks
  3. Thanks for the information. I might as well not waste my time and effort going for the interviews in Melbourne. Better get used to my small village for another 2 years.
  4. Can I work part-time for the two employers - one in Melbourne and one in the rural area?
  5. I have been working for my Regional Employer for 2 years and I'm just waiting for my PR to be granted. I have got some jobs (higher posts) lined up in the city (Melbourne) and I am not clear whether the two years of working for the employer starts when the visa is granted or when you started working for that employer? Anyone had similar experience or knows any useful information about this type of visa? Thanks WinkyD
  6. I'm using UK Pension Transfers - Australia. Will give them a call. Thanks.
  7. Hi Everyone, I'm disputing my Inland Revenue tax underpayment claim and I am a bit confused on how to respond to the following declaration question on my online Oz PR application form: Has any applicant ever had any outstanding debts to the Australian Govt or any public authority in any other country? The fact that I'm disputing the underpayment makes me think I'm right to say No to the above question but I may be wrong. I'm not sure whether DIAC will contact UK authorities during their checks prior to making decision on the application. Anyone had any similar scenario? Thanks
  8. Hi Everyone, I'm in the final stages of transferring my NHS Pension to Oz. What I need to know is whether I can use some of the money before transfer to settle my ongoing tax dispute with the Inland Revenue? I've been disputing the tax underpayment but I've now started my PR application and I'm just worried that this will impact on my application. Any advice is much appreciated. WinkyD
  9. I came from the UK on a 457 Visa in September 2012. Worked for the same employer for 3 months but hated working and living in the City (Melbourne) hence I changed employer and relocated to another employer (same job) in Regional Victoria. I am seriously considering relocating to Perth because that's where I want to settle permanently for family reasons. The problem I'm having is that I'm concerned that changing employers several times on 457 Visa may affect my PR application in future. Has anyone out there changed employers a few times under 457 visa?
  10. Thanks Chardy. That's reassuring. So what sort of things are you allowed to use the funds if you can not use them for residential investment?
  11. Thanks Ali. Will try to make contact with Prism Xpat.
