  3. Hi all I've been on this forum for a couple of months now and have found it very useful. Now this isn't about Oz in Sept I will be doing the shine marathon for cancer research. I am doing it for 2 reasons the first is that when I hit the big 40 I had goals that I wanted to achieve ( you might call it my bucket list) and seeing how my children are all virtually adults I thought its time to do the things I've always wanted to do you only get one chance at life and I thought if I could combine some of these things by raising money for charity then it means I'm giving something back. Last year I climb Snowdonia for a dog rescue charity. So this year I am trying to raise money for cancer research because I think at some time or another unfortunately we will all be affected by cancer, be it ourselves, our families or our friends and by doing the marathon I will be ticking something off my list. Anyway if you would like to sponsor me (I'm trying to raise £250) I have put a link to my just giving page( I do not receive any money it goes straight to the charity),anything you can spare would be great. A BIG THANK YOU IN ADVANCE SUE:biggrin: https://apps.facebook.com/jgdonation/susanharrison2012/on-facebook?fb_ref=fundraising-page-facebook&fb_source=timeline OR YOU CAN TEXT A DONATION BY TEXTING SUEH77 TO 70700 THANK YOU

  18. currently live in-Manchester moving to- hopefully Perth or Sunshine Coast (can't decide) visa-applying for 176 family-me, husband, 3kids ages-40-45 kids-20,19,14 hoping to move- early next year visa status- just beginning to apply never been to Oz before
  19. I think you have to think of the reasons you moved to Oz in the first place and people are right when they say give it time, nothing happens overnight you have to work at every thing in life. You could try coming back to the UK for a holiday, it might make you see the reasons you wanted to leave. If you do decide to come back then treat it like an extended holiday then maybe you will at least enjoy the rest of your time there. A good few years ago I went to America to live got really homesick and came back after 6 months, I regretted it after just a couple of months. I'm hoping to move to Oz later this year and I think now I am more prepared for it,
