  1. [h=1]Self-employment and Australian visas[/h]Being self-employed can be an option for Australian skilled visas. Instead of showing employment references, you should then be able to show: evidence of payment such as client invoices and receipts, tax returns and accountant statements, accounting books references from clients that span the time that you are claiming for if you have other evidence such as contracts, business cards etc. The work still needs to be for the time that the skills assessing authority requests. For example with VETASSESS, they may request at least 40 hours per fortnight (per two weeks) for at least 12 months in the 5 years before applying. Other authorities have different work experience requirements so you should check with each of them. Being self-employed on a subclass 489 visa – in Australia – can also be fine, as long as it is also full time – 35 hours a week plus – and meets any other necessary requirements. _________________________ What are the main requirements for this route? Has anyone successfully gone through this path? It would be great to hear your experiences like your backgrounds, business, application process and such (of course in the general level). :realmad:

  5. I'm in the country with 676 tourist visa and would like to apply for WH visa. One of the requirements is that it must be applied offshore. Do you guys have any advice the best way / cheapest way to apply for WH? Fly to New Zealand and apply for WH?
  6. Thanks for your suggestion. I rented the Toyota Corolla hatch from discountcar.com.au for 70aud for 24. It's pretty decent price and it is just 5min walk from the airport. They even gave me a lift back to the airport after returning the car.
  7. I need urgently a car for tomorrow as I am flying to Sydney. Does anyone know a cheap place to rent a car for one day?
  8. May I ask what VISA you were granted after your graduation?
  9. How easy it is to get a PR Visa after the graduation of higher education on student visa? I almost finish my BBA and thinking to apply to study in Australia and graduate from that school, if it help me to obtain temp or permanent visa for staying here. Please advise.
  10. Want to buy a reliable car that cost no more than $1500. Please send me a pm if you have or know someone who has one. :arghh:
  11. Please share your knowledge. Can he/she start a business (alone or with a local partner) while having a WH visa or is a partner of a Student visa holder?

    Moving to Aus.

It would be cheaper if you get the WH visa alone. Go to Australia and find a employer who is willing to sponsor you. Your WH visa will gets transferred into 457 visa, you then are able to bring your girlfriend to Australia as de facto. I'm guessing that you guys are living together for more than one year. I think this is the best and cheapest option to you.

Applying for WH visa you should be under 31 as lebourvellec said. From the date WH visa is issued, you do have 1 year to plan your trip and enterring Australia. Once you have enterred into the country, your WH visa is valid for 1 year counting from your arrival date. Hope this helps.
  14. Thanks for your answer. What about a person in Australia.. does he/she need to have a job when inviting someone to come to Australia?
  15. Yes, its about Visitor Visa and I would like to know should it get notarized and could it be sent by email to the invitee. How important it is to that the person who is inviting have a job or not? Who can invite, Australian citizen, permanent resident or temporary resident?
