  1. Hi my husband is a Kiwi so doesn't require a visa. Also I appreciate it is who you know as most of his work is through recommendation or other tradesman. Thanks. Will also try poms in perth.
  2. Floor and wall tiler. Thanks for your reply.
  3. Hi. I have emailed a lot of building companies and tilers. But only had one response. So hard when you are at the other side of the world. Thanks.
  4. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could provide me with details how much work there is for tilers in Perth. I keep hearing that there is a recession ongoing and wondered is there much work and what is the likelihood of obtaining this type of work. We are not in Australia yet as we are concerned about giving up work without knowing whether we will be able to get work once we arrive. I am very keen just to get there, yet my husband is being very cautious due to the work situation. I would appreciate any help/advice. Thank you. Beverley

    HELP

thank you, was beginning to think I was invisible My last question was: I am going to apply for a subclass 461 visa, but I am unsure whether this is something I could do myself or is it best to use an agent, and roughly what the costs involved would be, also timescales involved in relation to this. thank you

    HELP

Help, I am trying to use the forum in order to benefit from other people experience and knowledge, yet although my threads are viewed I don't seem to be getting any replies, what am I doing wrong. Is there anybody out there!
  8. I hope someone is able to help me. I am looking to apply for a 461 visa for myself, has anyone done all the work themselves if so how hard/easy was it and would you recommend someone else doing it themselves. Any help on this matter would be great. Or for those that have used an agent, what sort of costs were involved and how long did it take for the application to be completed and approved. thank you:smile:
  9. Can anyone help me, my husband is a self employed tiler in England and we are looking to move to Perth. Is there plenty of work for tilers and due to the fact it is difficult to get this type of work without being in the country, would it be easy to find work once we arrive. Any help/advise would be grateful. thank you
  10. Good to read so many positive things, we aren't there yet but I am soooooo excited, think I might burst. Love to hear from anyone in Perth.

    Be positive

It was great to hear something positive. We are in early stages of visa's and was very excited but after reading about so many returning home I was beginning to think is it just a case of the 'grass is always greener'. Good to read your point of view.

    First post

This is my first time on pomsinoz, early stages of looking to apply for spouse visa to Perth also, currently living in Northumberland so would love to know how you get on with your visa, medical and anticipated move to Perth.
  13. Hello, my family and I are in the early stages of moving to Perth, and although I am very excited that is probably because I am just thinking about the benefits and positives this move means. I would love to know how others have found the move, has there been a lot of tears and how easy have you settled. On reading other threads there appears to be alot of Brits pulling together and supporting each other and assume that where the effort has been put in friendships have been made. Any thoughts much appreciated.
