Hi there, I'm a dual national - British by birth and Australian by conferral (I was an Australian Permanent Resident and I then became a citizen after four years in Sydney). I'm currently expecting my first child with my partner who is a British citizen. He hasn't lived in Australia before, and we are now both residing in the UK. The baby will be born in the UK also. I'm struggling to find anything online to confirm whether or not my child will automatically become a dual national. Understand they will be born a British citizen, however will I be able to also register them as an Australian citizen based on my dual citizenship? If they don't live in Australia would they then be able to pass this on to any children they may have in the future? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks
