I'm a Muslim and I would never ask for replacing civil law by religious beliefs, religion is a relationship between man and God while civil law is concerned about relationship between man and man. Don't apologize, this is your opinion as well as most of the Muslim population, Saudi Arabia is an extreme example and certainly most of Muslims don't agree with their fanaticism. I agree with your first point, everyone has the right to know who is the person behind the mask, we just can't let people walk around unidentifiable. Regarding headscarf, my wife wears it and she is a perfectly normal person. It just covers her hair not her brain.
