  2. hey Amanda, drop me a message on here, or on my facebook - www.facebook.com/alex.doyle3 speak soon! Alex
  3. Is there really no one interested in the whole of the Sydney area? :err:
  4. As per the title  Is there anyone in the Sydney area that fancies a few drinks this weekend, or perhaps a trip somewhere else? I'm free pretty much the whole weekend and it would be good to meet some new people! give me a buzz on my facebook www.facebook.com/alex.doyle3 or send me a message on here if you're up for it
  5. Hi all, I moved here (Manly) in March, and pretty much all my friends have now moved back to the UK / their respective home countries! So I thought I'd see if anyone fancies a few drinks in Manly tonight (edited to say 'or any other night')?! - a long shot I guess, but hopefully one (or two or three) of you are free and are up for it! Let me know! I'm a 25 year old guy by the way, Alex
  6. sounds good to me too! let me know time & place. I'm 25.
  7. Hi all, into my 4th month here now living in Manly and looking for people to meet up with over drinks / food / banter after work or on weekends. Love live music, drinks, good food, generally having a laugh! My office is in North Sydney, so anywhere in the city or Manly is cool. Anyone like-minded in their 20s / 30s fancy meeting up, give me a shout Alex
  8. Hey! I moved to Manly at beginning of March, work based in the city, and as the 'settling in' period has now calmed down it would be good to meet up and get to know some people either in Manly / city / circular quay area! I'm 25, enjoy pubs & eating out (a lot!), and generally having a laugh! If you're up for meeting up then give me a shout Alex
  9. Well, we ended up moving in to an apartment in the centre of Manly and absolutely love it. Working in the city its just a 2 min walk to the wharf and a relaxing ferry in the morning (and evening), and for the girlfriend working in Brookvale just a quick bus ride. If anyone's up for a drink or two, give me a shout! (the weather is meant to be good this weekend so if you're in Manly let me know!)
  10. so are there no bars at all in Manly?? As it's just going to be me and the girlfriend we don't necessarily want midweek partying / nightclub, but do want there to be a good bar or two for during the week.... again, much like the northern quarter in manchester
  11. Hi, We are moving to Sydney, arriving 1st March and I'm hearing different things about different areas, so I wanted to ask you all on this forum - where should we live?! We currently live in the northern quarter in Manchester city centre, so we are used to having lots of good bars and restaurants within 1-2 minutes of the front door and are basically looking for the same but in Sydney! For those who don't know the area it's slightly less 'commercial' than your typical nighlife areas you get in most towns/cities, and other areas of Manchester such as Deansgate Locks where all the visitors go - while at the same time we are 50 yards from the main shopping area, The Arndale. Basically we are looking for as near as possible the same as where we are currently, and hopefully close to where my work will be on Kent Street, or within easy reach... I've been recommended Manly, and would happily tolerate the 20-30mins journey to work and back on the ferry, just as long as there's plenty there in terms of good bars / restaurants? What do you all think? Cheers for your help!
