  3. Hi guys, we are on 475 regional state sponsored visa. We already met the visa condition of 1 year work :biglaugh: and we need to live only 6 months to complete 2 years stay condition. Some months ago we had to go back to our country for family reasons and we cannot move again to OZ shortly. Our visa expires in Sept. 2015 and we would like to get an extension in order to have more time to arrange our next move. Our questions are: - can we apply from overseas for 1 year extension (489 visa extended stay pathway)? - If it is possible, do we have to wait for 489 to be granted before going to OZ ? Or can we continue using our 475 visa before its expiry date ? Thanks a lot in advance
  4. PRICE 6,400 ono Hi guys we r going back to Europe where we have a job offer so we need to sell our nice car : only 90,300 Km automatic A.C. Full service history cruise control good wheels tinted windows interiors in very good conditions no smoker owner rego expiry: 30-5-2014 We bought it at Ford Lane Mandurah when it was 78,000 Km and we used it only for 15 months. We live in Albany but we can arrange a trip to Perth if anyone is interested.
  5. I came over here a month ago without a job and i'm still looking for it. In perth it is quite easy to find a job, lots of advs on seek. In regional WA they need junior drafters and most of regional practices are very small. Moreover they are not very busy at the mo.
  6. Hi there, we are a couple from Italy heading to bunbury next week from Mandurah. We already have a nice accomodation close to the beach but still looking for a job. Hope to meet some new friends over there. PM us to be in touch. Cheers
  7. Yes, i got it after some time. Sorry, not sure what you can do, maybe you can contact Aaca and ask them.
  8. Many thanks for your replies! Telstra will be the best for us.
  9. Hi there, Just wondering which mobile networks have good coverage in South West (we are thinking to move to Bunbury) for calls and also mobile broadband ? Any advice is much appreciated!
  10. we arrive in perth on 15th Sept and after 10 days to bunbury
  11. hi, I've been working on Autocad since 1994 and at that time Windows was the only option. It is only since 2007 or so that it is possible to use Autocad with Mac without troubles. For sure today Mac is faster and safer but if you have a small office and you have to buy 6 stations, you would never spend so much money for your collaborators. Anyway, at the mo I'm searching for a simple laptop or netbook for my wife. Maybe in the next life i'll be a Mac fan
  12. hi there, we booked our flight for mid of sept 2012 through IOM Italy and they contacted IOM main office in Geneve (Switzerland). We paid 660 euro for one way flight from Rome to Perth with Qatar airlines (35 kg baggage allowance and 11 USD for extra kg). The price on the Qatar website was lower (approx 608 euro), but only 23 kg allowed. We will have a Doha stopover of 6,5 hours, enough time to visit the wonderfull museum of Arab Culture in Doha. They only asked for our visa grant letter, we paid with a bank transfer.
  13. Many thanks for your replies! Yes, no Apple! I prefer Pear!
  14. Hi everybody, we are heading to Perth in Sepember and we are thinking to buy a new laptop or netbook ( HP / Toshiba / Asus - No Apple!). Any suggestion where to buy it in Perth or online ? Many thanks

  17. I have 10 years of experience and CO didn't ask me any additional document maybe 'cs I've sent tons of papers, contracts and reference letters. I was afraid CO needed more information due to the fact that I've been working as freelancer since 2001. My agent always told me that CO wants to be sure about previous 3 years.
  18. Thanks a lot guys  we still can't believe it !!!! We had to wait so long especially 'cs CO asked for 2nd PCC for Valerie while our agent was sleeping ,,,,, as always! :SLEEP:and we are still waiting some news from him :nah: We are excited and worried at the same time. No idea where to move to 'cs finding a job in regional areas is not a joke (over the last 6 months there have been only 2 online ads suitable for us). @Candygirl : it would be much better to relax in the night instead of thinking about visa ,,,,,, @Millie : don't worry, be patient and you will get it !!!! Cheers
  19. After 5 months of waiting and waiting, here we are !!! Our entry date is before PCC expiry date. Now we need lots of info about WA regional areas. Many thanks to everybody who shared their info in this fantastic forum :notworthy: Best of luck to all of you!!!! Valerie and William
  20. Hi there, as you can see below I'm still waiting (LR country), last week CO asked for another PCC for my wife ,,, waiting, waiting, waiting in December we used e-helth to be faster, but nothing has changed till now.
  21. Hi Lisa & Robert, as you can see below, my OH and I are waiting the 475 and we share the same nightmare about Ielts and 175. Yes, after skill assestment and Ielts exam you need to apply for WA SS (if you are lucky, you can get it in 1 or 2 days). Next step: lodging and waiting for your Case Officer (be ready for medical exams and PCC). For medicals it is better to use e-health 'cs it is very fast (DIAC receive it after 1 day). By some books to read and wait, wait, wait (as I noticed many people get their 475 in 1 or 3 months after CO, depends on many details ,,,,, so it is not bad). Hope it helps a bit William
  22. hi, i'm sure this guy can help you, he is very smart and his office has a legal licence to get it. I don't know how much it cost and how long it takes, but as i heard he is not very expensive and he is well connected with government offices. You can send an email to him and just ask details (beware that he speaks only a very very simple english!). If you want tell him that i gave you his contact (i'm William, friend of Hussam, the iraqi engineer).
  23. Dear friends, as you already know very well, nothing is simple in ksa. My situation is different from yours 'cs over the pst 5 years i had some international contract with Saudi clients but i had only business visas so i was not a resident over there. I can only help you giving an address of a registered Agency in Riyadh who solved the same problem of yours for an iraqi collegue of mine. Its name is - Decision Center for Consultance- and the Saudi principal is Mr Abdullah (butain74 at gmail.com) I don't want to make any pubblicity using this forum but i think it will take ages to obtain any legal paper without using an agency over there. It is also better to ask to your Consulate in Riyadh if they know some other agency. Hope it helps you. Good luck William
  24. Many thanks for your answers about house insurance now it is clear
  25. Congratulations !!!! Lucky you! But why 13 months? I saw in "475 visa timeline" thread your Lodge date= 17 Jan 2012, isn't it ? Maybe since the skill assestment ? good luck with the move.
