Hi , this year I got my 189 visa in march and have just got back from activating my visa . My plan was to start the process of adding my partner to the visa now who is 33 , but while away I heard that the WHV age limit will be increased to 35 in January . So my question is can my partner get a WHV visa next year go to Australia and then apply for the partner while in Australia . Just thinking of doing that instead if waiting 12-15 months to get the partner visa . Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi mate , I done oz intro back in 09 , it was really good . I met loads of people and the group I was in ended up travelling up the east coast together that was about 12 of us all together. It definitely makes the first week easier , they help you sort out anything you want to do from setting up your bank,phone , tax number and loads of little bits . They take on pub crawls and doing different things you might not usually do. I would definitely recommend doing it , just don't book all your activities through them like whitsundays and Fraser Island as they are more expensive , wait till you get there as it will be cheaper , they are a travel agent after all

That's great news mate , where you flying to ? I've read some of your posts , I'm a carpenter as well looking to book a date for my skills test soon . Did you ship your tools out or you buying new out there ? I don't know what to do as I'm going to rent my house out here and leaving the furniture so won't really need to ship anything big , trying to find out cost of shipping tools or buying new when I'm there ?

Thanks for your replies, I don't think I do have a complicated case it's just myself on the visa so no kids or wife/ girlfriend so I would thought it would be straight forward. English is my first language so that means just the first instalment for me ? Do you think it would be easy enough to do the 175 visa on my own ? Or should I use an agent ? thanks again people

Hello everyone , I've been looking into moving to oz for some time now, and the cost of getting a 175 visa is quite a lot more than I expected???? It's nearly 5k just for the visa and if I go with an agent possibly another 2k on top of that . Is that right ? Thanks in advance for any replies
