Hi we have just moved to Australia with a 14 year old boy. He has started school this week and loves it and like your son he was not happy moving over here. He has made loads of new friends and is made up with all the girls coming up to him asking him to speak as they love his accent.He has signed up to a football team and that has helped too. I was worried sick like you but everything has worked out and the school have been excellent. Good luck and try not to worry.

Hi everyone, Congratulations to those who have received their VISA!!!! We have just came back from a week in sunny Majorca and found we have our visa granted on 25/07/12. YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!. I had phoned DIAC last week and they had informed us that we had a CO but would not inform us of the team we were on. The CO never contacted us at all so we never even found out the team we were allocated. Thank you all for your help, we wouldn't have got through the process without eveyone's input on this site as we never used an agent. Just one more hurdle now.....selling the house!!!! Hi Ronkhu I have just done the same I submitted on 22/6/12 so I have phoned Diac this morning, he informed me we have been allocated a CO on 13/07/12 he knew his name but would not say and would not let me know the team I was in. I suppose we will hear an day soon.

Hi, hoping someone will advise me. We have applied for 176 SS Visa and we are awaiting our CO, just went to our medicals (which are finalised) and the doctor pointed out on my sons passport they have not included his middle name(stupid me didn't notice). Anyway I have been to the Passport office today and they have re issued another one as its their error but obviously its got a different passport number to what we have when we applied for our visa. What shall I do? Shall I add it to my supporting documents with the previous scanned passport(so now they have two passport details for my son) or do I do nothing until a CO notices it and ask for the amended passport to be sent on (only if he notices the middle name is not on his original passport of course). Please help I don't want to muck up the Visa application!!!!!

Hi Gaynor, We had our medicals this week and they didn't ask about childrens vaccinations. (My son is 13) What they done is weigh the children, take their height, take water sample, do chest xray, look inside their mouth, listen to their chest and look in their ears. It was so easy and they made us feel so relaxed. We went to the Bridgwater clinic in manchester. Rachel

Hi Fowler family We got our results from Bangor today we were expecting them tomorrow. We got band 7 across the board. We have done it!!!!!!:biggrin: Just applied for our visa!!!!! Didn,t think we were going to make it. My trade bricklayer was took off the SOl list on 1st July 2012 so we were really nervous waiting for our IELTS results today as everything depended on getting a level 7 across the board otherwise we would have had to wait until my trade went back on the list. What a relief:biggrin:

Hi everyone, unbelieveably I just received my Ielts this morning in the post and I've only gone and PASSED IT :biggrin: also got SS on Tuesday so it's been a good week, I've now got everything in place to lodge 176 Visa over the weekend. Talk about cutting it fine as bricklayer is removed from the SOL next Saturday! Steve
