  1. Now approaching 18 weeks (their quoted time was either 14, 15, or 16 weeks max depending on which article or email auto-reply you read); they do not even have the good courtesy to reply to my emails. After waiting 6 years it's just a further insult really. Oh and on top of course of losing all the other fee's such as Lawyers, Trade Recognitions and IELTS etc. I wonder if we'll get the same refund in our local currency as to what we paid out if not I stand to lose about another £200. I've given them absolutely everything they asked for including fortunately still copies of the expired card and the statements. I am in good mind to contact my credit card company and begin to seek advice from them. 6-9 months was their advice at the time of application of getting my visa - here we are 6 and half years later with no visa, no refund.

  3. Has anyone had their refund yet? It's been 16 weeks today since they emailed and confirmed receipt of my request. Not heard or seen anything since then.

  5. Sorry; I am not trying to lower the mood. It is just how we feel at the moment. There must be others out there that have moved on after waiting so long? It may well be we get our visa in next 12 months so that we can go to Australia for our honeymoon to activate it, then have 5 years to make the big move. I plan on starting a business in the nextfew months, the marrage nezt year before atarting a family the year after. We can not delay our plans any longer.,
  6. Just want to hear about 176 FS now. We were hoping to be capped and ceased as our intentions to migrate have changed now. My parents still live in Oz (now recognised citizens) but we have put down new roots here and I have started a new career path. Ironically with the new qualifications and skills gained since my original application my family would be in a better position to apply now and would not have to wait too long under Skills Select. I'd rather have a refund on my current application than wait in Limbo any longer, and start fresh later.
  7. Based on their announcement a few weeks ago they will no longer be updating it, but it was once every two weeks. Saying that they updated this week so who really knows....?
  8. Still watching and following. But not heard anything.
  9. I am completely gutted by this mornings announcement. 10. "I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."
  11. I'd like to see published a break down of numbers for each visa category, and each priority, by program year. Hopefully 176 Family sponsored might get a look at this year :-( Been waiting since August 2009. I'm booked to visit my Parents at Christmas and was hoping to have my PR granted by then so that I could activate it.
  12. New Updated Table here: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/estimated-allocation-times.htm The tables below list lodgement dates of applications that have been or will soon be allocated to case officers. You can use this information to determine when your GSM application will be allocated and to prepare your application for assessment. This information was last updated on 4 July 2012 and is updated fortnightly. Effective 1 July 2012, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Chris Bowen, has set new priority processing arrangements for certain skilled migration visas. Allocation dates outlined below reflect the new priority processing arrangements.
