  1. My partner works in sales selling used IT equipment across the world. She is office based and on good commission. Does anyone know any companies to look at? Most seem to come up as retail sales.
  2. Get yourself on the seek job website. I'm a cnc machinist as well. Most the jobs require cad cam experience tho.
  3. 28 year old single male here coming to Perth in May Next year (15th-22nd) and Sydney (22nd-29th). Im looking at making the move, on my own, to come and work permanently later next year. Looking for someone to show me around these places so I get a proper feel for the places and not a 'Tourist' feel. Let me know if anyone is interested. Many thanks in advance Richard
  4. 28 year old male coming to Perth and Sydney in May 2014. Looking around the places to see where I'm looking to move to. Would like someone/people to meet up with and show me around. Places to see and go to while im there. Perhaps some food/drinks aswell. If your interested. Give me a message. Cheers in advance.
  5. Hi there. Im a 28 year old male looking to make the move on my own in may/june next year once my visa and loose ends are sorted in the UK. Looking for people around my age group to talk to about the areas and places to go to to meet new people. Im looking at renting a place in the Albert Park area. Anyone that fancies a chat and can help, send me a message or comment below. Many thanks Richard.
  6. ok cheers. ill have a look on there and see what i can find. thanks for that.
  7. Im in aerospace engineering. The visa company i was in contact with says you can earn around $100k a year all over the country. but all jobs seem to pay between £60k and $80k and there in the 3 cities.
  8. Every job i seem to find either states Sydney, Perth or Melbourne. For a country so large, why cant i find a job anywhere else? I want to try and avoid the large cities so i get more for my money. But dont wanna loose the pay. Does anyone know of any good sites for jobs in the engineering sector? Ive been looking at www.seek.com.au but nothing
  9. Got in contact with the australian engineering institute and they will convert my qualifications for a fee off $150/£97. The test and degrees are for those with less than 3 years experience. But as i have 10, i just need them converted to recognised ones.
  10. Its crazy considering ive worked for some of the largest companies in the world and the british and american government. I may have to contact someone in a visa beaureu who does not just want my money from me.
  11. Recently had a visa company tell me that my NVQ and City and Guilds aswell as my apprenticeship served means nothing in australia and i would need to convert them to the australian equivilant. Of course they wanted to charge me a fee of £350 for this priiledge. Even though i have 10 years experience, they want me to take a test aswell. All this seems slightly strange to me. Has anyone else come up with this? My area of expertise is Aerospace Engineering.
