Have you secured a rental before making the move?
sidney87 replied to Mummy Mann's topic in Renting & Real Estate
can I ask if anyone knows if it's normal for the holiday rentals (in Sydney) to charge the whole rent before your arrival and how do you transfer them the money without an australian account (except wires which are very expensive..do they take checks or credit card?); thanks -
hello could anyone help me with a small problem regarding an occupation on SOL or refer me to someone who might help: does ANZCO 224111 -actuary refers to actuarial analyst occupation as well? these two are closely related, but one requires high accreditation which few people have it.. thanks for any input

thanks not looking for action, just a nice quiet place by the water, in a green area and close to CBD; the prices were for condos in small buildings, not houses, yeah
-

true I would put those under employment letters/proof etc Tab 6; had to send the same to vetassess, same specs I thought that Mark was talking about the Tab 8 letters as he actually clearly mentioned "optional" and for that I would go with managers' letters about how amazing you can be

thank you, ABA, very useful there are always solutions and I'm sure that raising the cost of a skills assessment by x% in order to decrease the processing time (by hiring more staff etc) would lead to less rant

insurance broker IS on the list for NSW SS
-
it is outrageous 176 takes like 2 months and vetassess 6 months ..really?! how crazy is that..who are these people?!
-
they say this on their site: If you apply for a full skills assessment to SRGO, the approximate time for assessment is 12-16 weeks once all documents required for assessment have been received by VETASSESS. Some cases may take longer depending on the complexity level of the case and it doesn't seem that anyone got anything sooner than 4 months..

thanks for confirming this Ken! that's what I thought, after I couldn't find the request for translation anywhere on the diac's pages.. mine is in French, so no special characters there..
-
they will accept an urgent request form in your case if you send it to them

was wondering if I could ask here a question under the same title but different interest: if I have a police certificate in a language other than En, do they require, besides the original, its En translation as well

hi Gavy sorry I haven't had the chance to read all the answers.. I have a friend (canadian) who keeps applying for post-docs and nothing yet..the idea is you can apply if you want, of course, and if they want you really bad they might get you there, getting the specific visa takes only couple of weeks; otherwise the locals (who actually live/have an address there not just a visa/work permit) have priority over you
-
it takes 2-3 days if you're in the system and submit your fingerprints electronically
-
do I get this right, most of the people have done their medicals before these being requested ? same for the police checks? if so, when, around the same time you lodge the visa? i have read on the site that you need for these to be specifically requested first..i'm confused

I have received an e-mail confirming the receipt of my docs on Sep 7 now it's just so terrible waiting for the outcome..
