Have been in Melbourne since August 2012- my 3 kids passports are up for renewal (we have plenty of time before our holiday) Guidance notes state `For child applications (aged under 16) it is also to confirm that they have known, for at least two years, the adult who signed the declaration form. They must also confirm that the person has parental responsibility for the child and confirm the child’s photo. Since we have not lived here for 2 years we don`t have access to a countersignatory who can meet the requirements https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/254490/OS_OL_Guidance_10.13.pdf The countersign rules state ` If you cannot comply with the countersignatory requirements your application may be delayed. You must provide a full explanation when you get to the ‘Additional information’ section of the online form and we will contact you to agree a way forward. Would be good to understand the proper rules up front so that we can act accordingly..... This must crop up all the time. Have seen plenty of info regardig adult applications for renewals stating this isnt neccessary but counter signing looks mandatory on all kids passports under 12. Anyone have any experience in this field? cheers

Hi, was all set to do our shipping order today- 16 tea chests, 1 golf bag size box (to send a large lamp) and a flat panel tv box (to send some large flat stuff. Strangely, seven seas wont send me the golf bag box or flat panel box despite stating I'm using it for something else. I must be missing something. 'We only send tea chest boxes' Is this normal? I just want to be sent a load of boxes, pack them, and have them picked up.:wacko: Any recommendations of companies who will send out the boxes they have on their websites?

Congratulations. We booked with Singapore- I did it in May. But secured a flexible ticket should things have not worked out in time. 2 adults, 3 kids came in at £2800. Thats the cheapest they do. We're having a one night stop in Singapore to break the journey up.

I don't think I'm doing the feeling justice, I woke up in a tent with a hangover and checked emails on my phone, hasn't sunk in yet.. Very happy of course.

Cheers,booked flights in May, something of a calculated risk- secured a good deal though which was flexible in the event we hadn't fit it yet. House sold already so should..... be all good.

Got my grant email this morning. Very happy. Flights booked for 8th August to Melbourne so not too long to wait either. Whoop. Good luck to those still waiting.

Fantastic, congratulations. We're just waiting on meds- which as of today all show finalised. On checklist my 5 year old son still shows as 'requested', hopefully we should be over the final hurdle too soon. Everything else is MET.

Ah interesting, didnt realise it varied. So all my docs were listed as met except for meds & x-rays. But... just checked again and they all show as finalised on that first page except one of my sons. Looks like my CO is in the process of reviewing and updating as now when I check document list only myself (out of 5) show as `met`.

Hi Jars, just looking back in the thread to find someone with medicals booked near same time as me. Are yours showing up yet? We had ours on 2nd June, we`ve lost 3 working days through 2 uk bank holidays and 1 australian since, so now only on working day 5 since....nail biting. Just have `requested` on document checklist.

Uploaded Police certificates today, Meds booked for tomorrow. Things looks to be moving fast for everyone.
