1. Hi, I am Physical Education teacher from Scotland, 4 years experience, 1 in high school, 3 in Primary schools, been in Sydney 2 years now after taking a career break, in which been working for a catering company. Was not my initial plan but paid those expensive Sydney bills and have really enjoyed it. I am now at a point where I want to try and pick up some teaching, have provisional accreditation from NSW and am about to try and get registered. Any ex pats been teaching P.E in NSW, casual or otherwise, got any advice?

6. Hi Tracy, Thats us been in Sydney for a fortnight now, I am just starting to get myself together an try and get supply etc, u having anymore luck? I am going to do the whole going round the schools bit, whats the best way of doing this, make a phone call and turn up? also this might sound like a stupid question but what did u wear?smart or trackies as if you were going to work? If I dont have much joy in teaching I am going to look down the coaching road as this seems less stressful to get into! Thanks Barry
7.

Hi nick, typed in 5 aside in Sydney and your post popped up!is it still goin on?if so, how do i get involved?living in concord right now. Cheers Barry

8. Hi tracy, Have you done anything about this PEP yet? I am flying out on sunday and was just curious to see how much supply is actually out there and how easy to get involved? Barry
9. Having recently sent off to get my eligibility for registration, I received a provisional statement of eligibility on the basis of completing a few courses or proving that these units were included in my own course. I am a P.E teacher and am looking to just pick up casual relief teaching. Anyone else experienced this when trying to register? I have a Bed Hons P.E and 4 years experience! Anyone know much about casual relief teaching in NSW, Sydney specifically?
10. Myself and my partner are heading to Sydney as soon as her registration and visa comes through. the registration shouldnt be too long from now, hopefully! however I am curious as to what is the average time span for a 457 visa being granted? I am a teacher and have been offered a career break from april, so really want to be away by then! Also I know that she needs to get a medical as she will be working as a nurse, I have been told that I require one as well if I am going into teaching? If I was over there without a medical would the authority require me to have one before I got out there, because in an attempt to cut costs I would rather not have to shell out for a medical if I don't have to. Any help would be greatly appreciated Barry
11. Yeah I know, just wanna stay positive as we are both leaving permanent positions and although mygirlfriend has a job in the bag, il need to pick up something when we get over! When are u you heading over?Job prospects?
12. everyone who replies on sites like these seem to put a downer on things! But hey its not like the Uk is booming with happy positive people! It is a 4 yr Bed hons degree in Physical Education, so should be ok!The NSW website states that holiday visa folk can do casual teaching out with their subject area so hopefully that is the case, anyways I would rather teach in my own subject area, or find something else to do! No doubt i'l get a reply from someone stating I will struggle to find a job doing anything else! cheers for your advice!
13. My girlfriend has accepted a job in Sydney and we are currently going through registration process etc. I am a P.E teacher and was thinking about picking up some casual teaching work whilst I am over there. I wondered if anyone knew whether I still have to go through the whole qualifications assessment or whether I can casual teach by just registering with NSW authority? I am unsure whether I can get away without doing this as I don't need the assessment for immigration reasons as I will be named on the Visa. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Barry
14. My girlfriend has recently accepted a job in concord, when are you due to head out? We are still waiting on registration etc, so its gonna be a while!
