  3. Hi Fowler Family My OH took his trade assessment nin carpentry on 30/03 in Belfast, his status on Vetassess has changed from in progress to successful but we still haven't received any written confirmation. I emailed them last week and got an email reply saying it was posted out on the 17/04 so hopefully any day now it should arrive. They do say 30 days on the FAQ on Vetassess though so the end of this week would be almost that. Hope that's some help the wait is hard, both for the test date and the results. Also waiting for the dreaded ielts results they're due Friday!
  4. Just to let you all know the Belfast trade assessments are out on the Vetassess site so log on and check your results My husband has a successful status which was changed last night from in progress, now it's the dreaded ielts 2nd time for him tomorrow in Leeds. Good luck all who were in Belfast on the 30th looking forward to hearing everyone is at the next stage
  5. You got me there, felt sick although agree with wakeboard 1980 the well deserved rest line was the give away!
  6. Hi Proview Thanks for the breakdown above my OH is doing his assessment very shortly so that is really helpful. Regarding tools we are going to have to catch a flight to his assessment so just wanted to query what tools he should take. Again thank you for any answers in advance : ) Paul and Louisa
  7. Some amazing scores. Just opened the big brown envelope and although my OH has done really well Speaking 9.00, Listening 8.00, writing 8.5 the reading was only a 6.5 so I have just paid to confirm his place in Leeds in April! Do you know though I am so proud of his scores, he thought the examiner was really tough that he had for his speaking section as he didn't get anything back from him but said he didn't let it put him off at all so it just goes to show. The wait has been the killer though I have to say and thats from someone who didn't sit it! I think it is just practice practice and more.... for the reading, I was going to see about a day course if a resit was necessary but with the scores that he got I think the all 8's are within his reach. He used the ielts 7 book this time so I will get the ielts 8 book this time unless anyone can suggest any other?? Congratulations all who are now putting in their SS forms good luck and hope you all get a quick reply....
  8. Hi Sporty WELL done to you and your hubby -'celebration dance'-I see you have got your visa through so just wanted to add how pleased I am and also to thank you for the help you gave me earlier on in my first panic stage of cvs and the like!!. I know you were also short on time but you did it and by your march deadline too- fantastic to see Best wishes to you both
  9. Big Congratulations to all that have passed with some fantastic scores. We are waiting for the postman tomorrow for my hubbies scores, this wait is sooooooooo long but hearing others scores have cheered me up on here. Lovely husband sat his in Liverpool on the 18th and is hoping not to need the place in Leeds that we have booked already but needs 8's in all sections for the points and not been to school for 25+years but he did do lots of practice so we will see. One more sleep!!!
  10. My OH is short of time due to age so when we missed the carpentry assessment in Feb (he applied the day the dates became out and feb was full- only 6 spaces I was told), and were given one at the end of April online. I emailed Vetassess and asked to be put on a cancellation list for February if they had one due to our 'time' circumstances. Vetassess were great and have offered him a place in Belfast in March if he was prepared to travel- absolutely!!! It took a few emails I emailed every 2 weeks in January just so that they remembered his name first if a cancellation came up, anyway it was well worth the emails and they responded each time within a day so maybe an email is worthwhile if you would like to get on an earlier date or encourage Vetassess to put on another date. Hope that helps someone else
  11. That sounds strange that they have asked for a first aid cert but haven't confirmed receipt?? I send online application and payment off on 24/10/11, received a letter saying they had received payment 7 days later. Sent OHs paperwork off on 14/11/11, phoned on the 21/11 to see if they had received documents also emailed via the link on vetassess and to be fair they emailed back 24hours later querying when I had sent and asking for a tracking number. The next day they emailed receipt of documents and 5 days later they emailed to say level 2 reached so full skills assessment needed please pay this stage and they will arrange. I am going to phone this evening to see if they have a course date and also to see why they have given him level 2 just to make sure it is as I think. They were very helpful last time I phoned. Let me know how you get on I know it is so hard waiting and you just want to know that they have received what you have sent
  12. Shazb We have just heard back from Vetassess and my OH has gained the same level 2 as your OH he too s going to apply as a carpenter, so he will have to go for a full skills assessment which I am taking it is the day assessment not the web interview, is that right? I know that it will have been his paperwork that will have lead to a level 2 with being self employed it is tricky to send enough through. I will probably phone tonight to Vetassess just to confirm the above and will post anything new. I can't see any dates on the Vetassess website but am thinking it will be feb/march now do you know any different?
  13. Congratulations can feel the grin )))))
  14. Hallelujah we have just received acknowledgement from Vetassess that they have received the documents for my OH's assessment that I sent. So for anyone else waiting it took us just over 2 weeks for a receipt and acknowledgment same day. Phewey!!
